Hello, my name is Michelle and this is my first and might be my only child. She is my pride and joy, but now entering the early terrible two's. She is very stubern and willful. I have to remind myself that I am the adult not her. I am a stay at home mom and also visually impaired, but I get along ok with Katelynn. It is just trying to learn to be patient. Any advice on controling the tantrums?

She was born jan 30. And I am not to sure about the bathroom thing since she likes to hide in there. but, I do notice if I just walk away and let her have her tantrum she does come back crying, but willing to work with me.

When was your daughter born - mine was Jan 11 and she sounds like yours.. very stubborn, VERY strong willed.. throws herself on the floor.. knows what she wants and wants it now.. she is my second.. and my husband and i agree that if she was my first we would not have had another.. my son was a complete angel.. Elaina started a hitting phase. so i quickly taught her who was in charge. i put her in the bathroom - and while she screamed and yelled i kept asking her if she was done and after a few minutes she calmed down. i picked her up explained to this smart little girl tjat hitting hurt mommy and she hugged me and she has never hit me nor had as big of a temper tantrum again. when she asks up now.. i say do you want to go in the bathroom.. she says no and quickly controls herself.. amazing..

I think little girls have the worst tantrums. You have to find something that works for you. When my daughter throws a tantrum I just tell her don't be a mean girl we like nice girls. For some reason that seems to calm her down. If I get mad at her or tell her to stop it just gets worse. Usually ignoring her works pretty well too. Good luck
