She refuses to sit in her high chair I have been letting her sit in a regular chair at the table with us but most of the time that leads to a HUGE MESS or better yet she just climbs down and walks can I get her to SIT DOWN and eat?

My son does the same thing, and here is what my mom told me. Sit her down in the chair tell her to eat do it twice at the most, and then if she still doesnt eat and plays around either put her in time out or in her bed for a couple of min. It worked for me sean my son doesnt do it as much anymore because he knows if he does he will be put in timeout for not listening and eating when he is supposed to

My daughter went from the high chair to a booster seat, which she loves, she can sit at the table with me and my husband and she is up high enough that she can eat without any struggle. Not sure about the climbing out thing, but I would suggest the same as the others...a couple warnings and then a time out. Buying a booster may help though!

We go through the same issues~ my daughter doesn't like her chair, has climbed out since she learned to climb at 7mths! I finally stopped fighting it and got her a booster seat. When she starts to get up I give her two warnings to sit and eat, after that I wash her and remove her meal. If she comes back looking for her food and explain that it isn't platime it's mealtime. Most times it is helpful~ it is still a work in progress at 20mths. Happy mealtime! = )
