Does any ones child talk in their sleep? My daughter is 2 years and 4 months, she is a sleep walker so i have to gate her door so I know she won't get hurt. But a few nights ago I was listening to the monitor and heard her talking so I went in to check on her and she was fast asleep... is this weird? I know i've been known to talk in my sleep but i've never heard of a child talking in their sleep.

I'm with ya Kelly. Both my daughters talk in their sleep and sometimes my husband and I will sit at the top of the stairs and just listen to them. It's a riot!

Oh good I'm not the only one! I love lying in bed listening to my son talk in his sleep. It cracks me up. One night he must have been dreaming about his little brother, because he was saying his name and saying "No. Like this!" The first time I ever heard him laugh was when he was only a couple of months old and he was chuckling away in his sleep.

my son talks in his sleep ..soemtimes he says the funniest things. like im the boss.. he will repeat from the day like if he didn;t want to share his toys with his friends he say those are my cars and sometimes ask for chicken ... he smiles and says i love you mom and with that i dont think there is anything to worry about.. however the walking thing is scary so keep her blocked in for sure.

Oh my gosh, my son has been doing this for a while, and a lot. He sometimes just 'talks' and other times he is screaming like he is having night terrors. I go in to try and calm him and he is sound asleep. I've learned to let him work it out himself. But when he is talking, I'll just listen and crack up. I'll only understand about every 10th word he

But no this is normal.

yes its normal I did apparently .. I also recently read at this age it is normal as they will go over there day in there head and it helps with with there talking and learning. my son only talks in his sleep when he is sick. but he always has a great conversation as he is putting himself to sleep
