Are girl babies easier than boy babies?

I have 2 boys and they were challenging when they were babies. They woke every 3 hours at night and took ages to go to sleep. I now have a girl baby and she sleeps through the night 9 hours straight and puts herself to sleep by sucking her thumb.

I only have experience with my son but I must say he is a very easy and good baby. He hardly ever cries, he is always smiling, he eats around 9pm and will sleep until about 4 before he wants a little to eat. He is awesome... I have gotten so lucky. I would love a girl next though so I hope there isn't much difference. =)

lol Sounds just like my little brother versus my daughter. My daughter started putting herself to sleep by 10pm, sleeping until 9am, every night after 2mo.

I think they genuinely are wired differently.

See I am the opposite. My son slept through the night and was not as fussy as my daughter is.My son seemed to be easier as a baby and he even had more problems than my daughter has.But he is now 18 months and into everything. So I will see how she is when she gets older. But as of now I would have to say my son was easier than my daughter is!

i think so my friend has a girl and she seems much easier to look after than my son.

my son suffers from a bit of reflux .. so constantly gets tummy ache from holding on to his wind .. so he screams a lot. he also hates bathtime .. screams at that too (my friends daughter loves bathtime .. hates getting out) ... he's teething at the moment it seems so yet another reason to scream. he's not yet managed to sleep through .. goes bed around 10-11.30 and wakes around 6.30-8.30 so at the most 10hours he has.

although my friend used to say he was dead lazy as he just used to sleep all the time (was a little night owl) but now he doesn't like going down for naps.

messes about with his botttle and everything.

so yeh boys do seem to be hardwork when there babies but when they grow up i think that changes and girls become
