Aside from frequent feedings and pumpings, how else can I increase my milk supply?

Lately, I've noticed that my milk supply has gone down remarkably. Is it because of the stress? Is it because of a change in my schedule? I'm really worried...

I used Healthy Nursing Tea. I notice a difference in my supply within 24 hours of drinking 3 cups. I average an extra 3 to 4 oz per day when using this supplement.

Studying to become a certified lactation consultant. THis is what I know:

Fenugreek can also be found at GNC. It is the only galactagogue that has consistently been shown to increase milk supply. Other things that have been used and shown to be beneficial to some but not to others are: caffiene, hops, fennel seed, blessed thistle, domperidone, alfalfa. Try the fenugreek first, often times women can slowly wean off it with their milk supplies staying the same. Take 3600mg per day- above this is neither harmful nor beneficial (so basically a waste of money). After a couple weeks of this, cut down by one per week. If you notice a decrease, add one back and stay at that dosage before trying to slowly wean again in a couple weeks. Hope this helps!

Try taking Fenugreek....it was suggested to me by a lactation consultant. It is an all natural product and it helps increase your milk supply. It is very safe for baby. You would find it in the natural food section in your grocery store or even a natural foods store.

I ditto what everyone else said! I notice a increase after drinking plenty of water! Drink at least 80 ounces. I have taken fenugreek also and it helped too.

Ditto on the Fenugreek. Also you can do a google search for lactation cookies, I made some oatmeal raisin cookies, that were actually really good. And if you don't like oatmeal raisin there are a lot of different recipes out there.
Between eating right, drinking a lot of water, the fenugreek and the cookies, I was able to increase my milk supply quite a bit. I had very little supply and was never able to pump. HTH.

Fenugreek worked for me. It took a couple of days to kick in though. I also found that eating properly helps too.
