My son will be a year old Jan 28th. We have started to give him whole milk in his sippycup... he will NOT touch it at all. He doesnt like milk. I dont know whether to just keep giving it to him until he eventually drinks it, or try soy milk or what to do. All he wants is his formula. Please let me know what to do! I need help! Thanks!! :)

did you try giving him the milk in his bottle.. maybe he will drink it if it is in the bottle. My daughter will not drink milk or her formula in a cup but will drink milk warmed up in a bottle

He doesn't need to get all his dairy requirements from cow's milk - he can get the equivilent from dairy products - cheese, yoghurt etc.

Have you tried mixing it with his formula? 1/4 cow's milk, 3/4 formula? Then slowly adjusting it to completely cow's milk, rather than just giving him total cow's milk.

my son was also born on 28th jan and he is exactly the same!
he won't touch cows milk .. unless its hot chocolate (my mum made him some and he loved it. ) .. obviously i don't want him having that all the time .. so i tried making home made banana milk shake .. but he wouldn't even touch that!!
so we've decided to switch him on to aptamil growing up milk for toddlers ( a lot of formula brands make them toddler milk for 1-3year olds) .. he's on that now as i ran out of his last box of formula .. and he's doing well with that milk and wolfs it down.
it tastes pretty sweet so that could be why he prefers it!
so if he keeps refusing cow milk you could always try the toddler milk .. i know the brands in england (cow and gate and aptamil only do growing up milk) sell ready to use bottles seperately or in packs of 4 .. so you could just buy one bottle first and try it??

My 2yr old will only drink Vanilla Rice Milk...she got a stomach bug when she was 1 so I couldn't give her formula and she never drank milk...I gave her Rice Milk since it's easy on the stomach and she's been hooked ever since. We've tried to slid in some reg. milk since be she won't drink it so for now we just give her the Rice Milk.

My son hasn't been interested in milk yet either, but he won't drink formula (hates it, always has). I have kept trying once a day for about a week, and this morning he actually drank a little bit of it. So I am going to keep trying till he finally will drink it, hopefully he will. But there are formulas for older babies like Next Step (Enfamil's) that I used for my now 2 1/2 year old for a while after he turned one. Good luck!
