Anyone have a recommendation on what type of cheese to give a nine month old?

The only dairy products we have done so far have been baby yogurt... which went well. I read that it is okay to give a baby this age soft pasturized cheese... but I'm unsure which variety or brand to start with...

I dont know where your from and if you have these, but we buy picon triangle cheeses usually found in spreads section...they are soft and have a nice flavour.

I give my 9 month old cheddar, mozzerella, monterrey jack, and have tried cottage cheese(she didn't like that one). She does just great with all of it. I would just do a little at a time and see how they like it.

I make my own baby food and I use reccomendations from www.wholesomebabyfood.com. I tried some fresh organic monteray jack cheese I made whole wheat organic pasta and melted some cheese mixed it with breast milk and blended it all together and I mix it with carrots and my son loves it.

Hi, My son eats Edam Cheese, we live in New Zealand and things may be a bit different over here but he is fine with it :)

I've given my daughter mozarella so far, which she seemed to like. I started with something mild, but we may try cheddar soon.
