How long are ur lo's sleeping in a 24 hour period? For the past year Addy has, for the most part, slept about 13 hours a day...she would sleep from 9:30 PM to 9 or 9:30 AM and then take an hour to an hour and a half nap and that was good for her. However, the last couple of weeks she is either fighting taking a nap or if she does take a nap she won't sleep good through the night. I really want her to keep taking a nap. From what I have read they need one until they are like Kindergarten age and plus I work from home and need that hour-hour and a half to get some of my work finished up for the day. So I"m thinking of starting to wake her up earlier in the morning. She took her nap yesterday and then went to bed about 9:45 last night, but woke up at 1:30 and was up for two hours...she wanted to get up and watch cartoons. She never used to wake up through the night unless she was sick so I am wonderinf if she is gettig too much sleep, therefore, not sleeping at night....just curious how many hours of the day ur lo's are sleeping? THANKS!!

aidan started refusing naps in the day about 8 months ago and i also tried my hardest to get him 2 have his naps because then he wasnt sleeping properly thro the nite,it was really stressing me so i thourght if he doesnt want 2 nap then he can stay up, after a week of doing so his sleeping improved at nite, he sleeps from 6.30pm-6.30/7am. after a week he sometimes needs a catch up nap. my advise is just to go with the flo, if she doesnt want to nap keep her awake n tell her 2 paint a picture for u while ur doin ur work hope this helps xx

Hi!

My son used to sleep so much thru the day! He could sleep thru a tornado! Night time has always been a struggle. He never has slept thru the night. He's getting better tho ;) He still takes his 2-3 hr naps around 11:30 or noon every day unless he's got speech therapy or other drs appnts. On those days he is dog tired around 6 in the evening & will sleep until around 5am! Most generally however, he gets his naps in & is begging for bed around 8 & sleep until around 6am (when sissy gets up for school).

It's probably just a stage she's going thru ;) Do you have a very strict sleeping pattern everyday? It's possible her body is just needing time to adjust to one. If not, try putting her on a schedule. It might take a good week for her to get into it, but it might just work ;)

Good luck! (((hugs))) sorry I couldn't offer more advice
