i have been battling as well with my 2.5 yo boy. he wakes up lots of times at night. but with him its because he is still on the bottle and doesn't want to eat before bed. how do i ditch the night time bottles and get him to eat? help!!

found a soloution that is working YAY!!! Cadence wasn't a bad sleeper till she could get out of her room (open doors), so i have now put a baby gate on her door... she threw a few tantrums the first few nights, and then i connected her waking with me going to bed (e.g tv being turned off etc) so i hav now put a radio in her room that runs all night! we have had a full nights sleep every night this week!!! i'm quite excited YAY!!!!

Brandon comes into our room at least once every night.. I walk him directly back to his room with very little conversation.. I offer him a small cup of water (no bottles since he was 1 year old).. Tuck him back in.. Kiss on the head.. and walk out.. He has recently been sick and his molars are coming in, but even then he goes back in his bed.. We have NEVER allowed him to sleep in our bed.. You just have to be totally consistent with your approach.. Brandon knows when he comes in my room that I am going to walk him back to his room.. Usually he says "I need covers Mama" and goes right back to sleep.

My daughter had trouble with waking up alot at night after taking her totally off the bottle. I started feeding her about 30 mins. before bed and putting her to bed with a cup of water. If she wakes up now she finds her cup drinks a little a dozes back off to sleep. I also keep her door completely shut so she does not wander around the house. If she gets up to wander she realizes the door isn't open and lays down in front of the door. Sometimes I don't even realize she has gotten up. Hope this helps.

you can try making sure her belly is full before going to bed or giving her a snack and a drink from a cup if she does wake up. most of the time when they wake in the middle of the night its bc they r thirsty or hungry.
