Lori - posted on 05/06/2009 ( 11 moms have responded )

Hi all! My son, 10 months has gotten a taste of table foods and now won't have anything to do with baby food. I am looking for ideas of foods I am not have thought of that would work for him to eat. I am doing cereal bars, lots of fruit, some steamed veggies, pasta cooked well, turkey meatballs cut up very small, turkey thinly slices,yogurt...........Any ideas, let me know!! Thank you so much.

Miley eats everything we do! And then some! She loves the gerber graduate stuff like the cheetos, pasta pickups, meat sticks, the yogurt melts are her favorite! And multi grain cherrios! I also have one of those mesh bag things that I can put whole pieces of stuff in and she sucks on that, but that is suiting her much anymore! She loves fruit cut up, buttered bread and toast! Cooked carrots, pears, peaches, tator tots, just everything!

My little guy pretty much eats whatever we are having. cooked potatoes left in small chunks so he can pick them up and eat them....roast, chicken, turkey, steak...any meat cut into small cubes and cooked untill they are very tender. pretty much every veggie under the sun too. scrambled egg yolks made into an omlet and cut into bite sized peices Pancakes, toast cut into strips. grilled cheese cut into strips. The only thing I have stayed away from is anything with nuts in it and egg whites.

Good snack idea: 7 grain bread with avocado on top. Caio loves it. And he also loves his yogurt. :)

Peeled and cut up grapes.

Gold Fish, cheese, soy bean snacks (LOVES IT).

My lil guy loves to eat cut up pieces of fruit and cheeses, little pieces of meat like ground beef sauteed in butter, pieces of cooked potato in butter, yogurt, cottage cheese with fruit. I am not a big fan of giving him crackers, cereals and wheat products. I stay away from all of the processed foods!

Our little one likes: everything you have listed, blueberry bread toasted, pancakes, waffles, fish sticks, gold fish, animal crackers, toasted bagels, cheerios, oven roasted potatoes, and any of the gerbers graduates (lil crunchies, fruit snacks, puffs, veg crackers, meat sticks, and the pasta bowls). She pretty much eats what we do. Hope that helps! I really want to try grilled cheese soon too.

Try pancakes, the buttermilk ones are a little bit sweeter. Vanilla ice cream that is really melted so it is not that cold. I also have started really hearty soups with lots of veggies and meats. She seems to really like them because everything is mushy and she can feed herself. Although her favorite food are the Gerber past pickups. My daughter refuses to eat the baby food as well so this seems to pose a challenge.

Grilled cheese sandwiches (made with real cheese and not buttered), cheerios (these are probably the #1 food at our house!), spaghetti with meat sauce (constantly looking for new ideas to get him to eat meat), flakes of ham (this is a new one this week- going to try chicken next), cheese cut into little bites (string cheese is really convenient for this- you can break it into little peices without a knife), bites of bread (usually from whatever we are eating)...

hmmm...that's all I can think of...sorry about the running commentary on my suggestions, haha! can I blame it on it being late?!? :~D

Hey Lori! I give my son Banana chunks for snack, shredded cheese, whole wheat toast fingers, or mini sandwhiches with like mashed banana or avacado on them. My son is very into feeding himself so these are some foods he enjoys!
