When can I paint her toenails?

I know this might sound silly but every time I trim my daughter's toenails I really want to paint them. Does anyone know how old she has to be before I can paint them? I was planning on using kid's nail polish because it has less chemicals.

I think it is up to you. My sister in law always painted her babies toe nails since 4 mo. I guess you do have to consider if she still likes to put her toes in her mouth!

Well I have a boy, not a girl, so I really don't know, but if I were you, I guess I'd start by calling up the company that makes one of the non-toxic children's nail polish and just asking them. It would also probably depend on how still your little girl is. I mean, even if it's non-toxic, you have to ask yourself if you really want her putting her fingers in her mouth before the nails are dry and making a big mess. Google the name of the company that makes the nail polish, find the 1-800 number, and give them a call. I'm sure it won't be the first time a mom has called them with that kind of question. LOL.
