Is it ok to give my 7 month old regular yogurt? Not baby yogurt or plain yogurt, but fruit yogurt?

I don't think that people are in a rush, try not to be so negative. We all try our best to do the best for our children. I have lived through feeding the most fussy child ever!!! For sure we need to be careful but to say we are in a rush is wrong. We live in a time now where we have to second guess everthing. To think that I fed my daughter from a bottle that pass toxins makes me sick, I gave her yogurt....she loved it....made me happy. I just hate the second guessing that goes with parenting...trust your gut!!! I am so much more relaxed with my second...we are a strong, healthy and happy family!!!! Best of luck!!!

My son, also 7 months has been eating the Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts and LOVES them. It is freeze dried yogurt that melts in there mouth. They come in three flavors, Peach, Strawberry and Mixed Berry. He can not get enough of them.

I agree with above. Non-baby yogurts are loaded with artificial sweeterners, colours and other crap. Don't feed it to baby. I still feed my 2.5 year old organic baby yogurt.

Diary in the form of yogurt shouldn't be introduced until 9 months. Milk is not even until a year. As for feeding non-baby yogurts, I wouldn't do that. The baby yogurts are designed to keep out all the possible extra allergens and general junk in regular Yoplait, etc. yogurts.

tooo early and kiwi is not advisable until later and strawberry can cause allergies talk to ur doctor. why is everyone in such a rush to give babies food dairy products are for later. 7 month olds kidney and liver and digestive track are not ready for all these foods. u could cause more damage then good. trust me i learned the hard way. they don't make guide lines for nothing...

Thanks for your response. I am at work now and my husband is at home with our daughter. He said he gave her a taste of kiwi strawberry yogurt and she really liked it. I'm wondering if it is ok for her. She hasn't gotten the hang of eating baby fruits and veggies yet, so if she likes the yogurt I wouldn't mind giving it to her. I just wonder about too much sugar in it?

I gave my son Yoplait Fit and Light Strawberry yogurt last night and this am for breakfast and he did fine with it. I just made sure he didn't get the big fruit chunks.
