I take mine next Wednesday and am kinda nervous. This past month I have gained almost 10lbs putting me close to 30lbs since the beginning of the pregnancy. With 13 more weeks to go I am scared I will either gain a ton more weight or find out I have Gestational Diabetes and have to go on a strict diet. Anyone else nervous about the test?

I had mine at 25 weeks. (I'm 28 now) It went okay. My blood sugar was high though, so I had to get the long 3 hour one done. They pricked my fingers, every hour, 4 times. It was really annoying, but worth it.

I had mine done a few weeks ago and found out thurs. that I am fine, I was worried that it might come back that I was diabetic because sometimes if I eat something sweet, I don't feel so great after a while, but I guess the levels were normal :)

Had mine done and found out the result today and I have Gestational diabetes!! I am waiting to go to see someone to tell me what I have to do and eat! I am really hungry right now! lol They told me not to eat anything with sugar or any white bread ect... until I see the right people. I have been looking on the internet for some ideas on what to eat! I am a REALLY picky eater as it is so this will be something that I will struggle with. At the same time I am looking at the bright side that this will help me to eat more whole grain foods. But for now I am really hungry and would like s big bowl of ice cream with some chocolate sauce! haha

Has anyone found out their results yet!!??

Hope all is well!!

I had my glucose test on Wednesday and it came back normal. I kind of follow the GD diet anyway because I was overweight when I got pregnant and don't want any issues, Good luck!

Just got mine last week, haven't heard any results though. No news is good news at my obgyn. Try not to worry. Reserve worrying for when something actually happens. Then you'll have the energy you need to deal with anything that comes your way. Good luck!

With my first pregnancy I gained a total of 34lbs and I know every pregnancy is different. I guess I may be taking it harder than I should because I was down to my ideal weight of 116lbs so seeing the weight I'm at now kinda bothers me. Of course it's not stopping me from eating, I try to eat healthy but the ice cream, sugary cereal and hamburgers are just to good to pass up!

Dont worry too much. I am on my 4th pregnancy, and have gained between 70 and 90 pounds with each one, regardless of exercise and diet. Some of us just dont fit into the statistics. So far this pregnancy I have gained aprox. 40 pounds. I took my glucose test last week, and my levels were completely safe. I worried though, too because I do gain alot of weight, and Im having twins so I was scared! Dont worry about it too much. gaining extra pounds most likely wont hurt your baby, or your health. Cant say it doesnt effect the ole self esteem though!lol

I had mine two weeks ago... it's really not that bad, the drink tastes like overly sweet orange soda. 30 lbs is pretty much right in the middle since most of what i've seen says to gain 25-40 lbs.... i'd say if you're just careful about your sugar intake you should be fine... and the diet itself isn't that bad, you just really have to make sure to stick to it, which is kinda hard...
