Had an interesting night my son ate fish sticks and broke out in a rash on his face from where he touched it. I felt so horriable! But atlest it was just a mild reaction. Any other moms of new toddlers have any other bad food storys?

When your son is first exposed to an allergen he may have a small reaction, but as the others have said it can get worse with each dose. Antibodies to a certain subtance take time to develop and the more antibodies you develop, the bigger the allergic reaction.
I would also use caution and not feed any fish to your son until you have had him tested. either this or you can wait for atleast a year and try again with a very small amount of fish. Sometimes allergies can change over time.
If your son ever gets a rash around his mouth and his lips swell, Call an ambulance straight away. Lip swelling is one sign of anaphylaxis. All parents should be aware that if their child does have a bad allergic reaction they need rapid response otherwise they could stop breathing.
one more thing to consider is that there could be something in the breadcrumbs that you child is allergic to (eg. binders, vegetable gums, flavourings, sulphates, preservatives)

Just a word of caution... he may have a severe allergy to fish (more than just a mild reaction). The first time exposure can often just cause mild symptoms, however subsequent contact with fish may cause more than just a mild rash. I'd use caution, just in case. You may even want to consider getting your little one tested when he's a bit older. I don't want to scare you, but it better to be safe than sorry, right?
