we just switched my 1 yr old from formula to whole milk and his poop has been a little white. Should I be concerned?

You should call his doctor. White poo isn't normal at any age.

Not to scare you but, I've always heard that white poop is a call the doctor thing. That it could have something to do with the liver or the gallbladder.

Beth i wouldn't worry if it's just an isolated thing. If it continues you could try either reducing the amount of whole milk she drinks or go back to breast milk or formula and see if that changes anything. Yes it could indicate some digestive and gastrointestinal problems such as allergies to wheat or problems with the colon. If she is acting healthy and active then i wouldn't worry yourself. Now is the poop just really light colored or actually white? Off white or beige colors are not abnormal, snow white especially for more than a few days may be something to talk with your pediatrician about. Trust your instincts if it doesn't feel right and YOU are concerned then its time for doctors visit. Good luck and i hope everything turns out well!
