Also, I noticed that my 7 month old will drink ANYTHING out of my cup. Try drinking some juice yourself and offering it to him from your cup :)

My baby girl is the same as well. They don't need the water and especially the juice so don't worry about it. I'm assuming your baby is on solid foods which are basically his meals so now the formula would be considered a drink as opposed to a meal. Just like you would have milk/water during the day he is having his formula. I just keep trying some water after she has cereal and some day my girl will want it but now it isn't a big deal!

I was told that neither are important to my son right now. If he has too much it will take away his appetite for the important things like his formula or breast milk and cereal/baby food. Why are you worried to rush them?

My 2 1/2 year old just started drinking juice. He never liked it before. They don't need juice or water, empty calories, but I do give mine a drink of water when they eat solids. Don't push it. You don't want them liking juice too much. Bad for their teeth and full of sugar. I just don't see the point of juice if they are eating fruit.

my son doesn't like juice. he'll drink water sometimes. but he'd rather formula. i guess it's because that's what they've been drinking for so long. i just try to continue to give him juice. i'vr tried different types and found out that he will not really drink gerber baby juice, but he will drink tummy ticklers when he does decide to drink juice.

I put 1 to 2 tablespoons of juice in the milk, specifically pear or prune juice so he doesn't get constipated...

I don't have this problem. But I will say that I learned the hard way that if you are no longer nursing the child does need water at this age. I know you are not "supposed" to do it but I put just a small amount of sugar in his water.
As for the juice I never give it to him strait I always mix it half juice half water. That way the flavor isn't as strong. So you could try these things. Otherwise talk to the doc. Mines always my go to in situations like this.

sorry, my 7 1/2 month old is still nursing along with his solids - I didn't give my other 2 kids juice until 18 months old, and water probably the same time frame ....

My 7mth old loves his juice and water.. he has been drinking water for about 3 months, and juice for the last month or so... but it is very hot where I live so I think that helps a lot.. just keep offering it and he will take it when he's ready..

YOur baby will get all he needs from the formula, there is no reason he needs water or juice. Juice is just unnecessary sugar.

Have you tried putting the juice into his formula bottle? My 7 month old will only drink juice in her bottles mixed with formula or in her cereal. Good luck!

try putting it in a sippy cup with some ice my son loves the really cold water because it feels good on his gums and he loves the sound the ice makes when he bangs it on everything lol...

My son is the same way. Eventually i ended up getting juice and plain rice cereal, mixing it together and feeding it (by spoon) in the mornings for breakfast. He absolutely loves it on some days and hates it on others. Why he wont drink it but will eat it I will never understand lol. My daughter ( who is a preschooler) loves juice but hates milk. We have to add chocolate powder to hers. If this doesnt help I would not worry about it.

My son won't drink it either, I would put his juice in a sippy cup and he would not drink it than one day I put it in a bottle and he drank the whole thing but hasn't done it again, I recently gave him water and he wouldn't drink that either. My daughter was the same when she was a baby and to this day she still doesn't like juice and she is 7 years so maybe my son will be the same.
