I used to make different meals in my house too....I got so fed up of cooking nice meals only for my daughter to whinge and cry as soon as she seen it. It used to actually hurt my feelings, but in the end i just decided that if she'd hungry she'll eat it and it worked and is still working. I cut out snacking completly between meals, all she had was her main meals and it meant she was hungry when food was put onfromt of her and she started eating more or less everything!!

i would let them maybe pick out the pasta or make pasta with meats and stuff in it so he could pick out the pasta or get him to eat a few bites of it. and if he doesn't finish his meal no desert. eventually he will either eat it or he won't and he will eat more at the next meal that doesn't have pasta in it. they will eat if they are hungry

i made a chart of the things my daughter needs to work on, she has to try new foods is one of them, cuz she's really picky, even if it's a bite, just try it, u could try doing a reward chart like that...after every week get something from the dollar store or give him a treat after dinner...that works sometimes for my daughter, i'll say if u eat 5 bites i'll give u some yogurt or something she likes

dont give ur son the choice. my son went through the same faze. i would cook 1 meal 3 times a day. if he wouldnt eatit i left it at the table and didd not cook anything else for him to eat. he would eat it while no one was looking. either that or tell him not to eat it. my son took it as a game and ate it just because i told him not to

You don't have to make two meals. Your little one will eat if he is hungry. If you start making two meals now, he will soon expect it, and that is very hard to change. We varied the pasta and made games out of eating "new" foods...when our children went through these fun stages. Good luck mom! :)

we are at the point where we don't have to make "2 meals" (for the most part) which is great, so I would strive for that. As far as the pasta, my daughter went thru the same, we switch to the piccolini, mini wheels etc selections from barilla and she enjoys it much more than the adult size pasta.

I wouldn't make 2 different meals since you will just have to keep that up. There are some things that the kids don't like and I offer small spoon fulls of those items to the kids. With every meal, there is something that they will eat. They must finish their plate if they want to have 2nds. This seems to work for us.
