My mother alwasy told me that kids will eat when they are hungry. alos if he is teething he won't eat as much. My son is the same way.

I had to cut out the afternoon snack for both of my children. Now they clean their plates at supper time. I have always fed them what my husband and I eat so they require a lot of seasoning/flavor. I have also discovered that when I add gravy, cream of mushroom, cream of chicken or ranch dressing (in moderation of course) my kids will eat anything. If they don't want their supper I put it aside for later. I do not give them anything else. When they get hungry they come back and eat what I have put aside for them. I have several friends that have to prepare something different for each family member and I decided early on that I would not do that. This has ensured that my children are not picky eaters.

You have to stop and think, is he going to starve to death overnight? No...He'll just wake up hungry and eat a big breakfast! I did the same thing, but I finally realized that I am not running a restaurant. Something that worked for me was giving him a choice between two things and he felt like he got to eat what he wanted. Good luck!

Lily hasnt been eating because she is teething. Also, what you said about switching the foods, she does the same thing, its like she gets bored with some foods. Like the other post said they eat if they are hungry, if your little one isnt waking in the middle of the night hungry I would try not to worry about it! hope that helps

depends on how old he is..if hes teethin like my son is now. he never eats dinner..but if your son is 2 or 3 and so on..could just be very picky with food. but if your child is hungry enough he will eat. also if you do a bunch of snacks in the day try to lower it to one or two snacks..could be the reason why he is not so hungry..I made that mistake myself..I gave way to many snack durning the day then at dinner time he was so full from all the snacks he didnt want to eat dinner..but now his back teeth are coming in and he never wants to eat..

See the confusing thing that still gets me is when i switch up his foods. I take the chicken and green beens away and give him peanut butter toast he will eat the toast but if i give him back the chicken he wont eat it [Just using as examples].
