There really is no need for either juice or water since the child gets all the required liquid from the formula. :) So just follow their cues and let them lead you! Good job momma.

I don't give my little guy juice cause he gets the nutrician he needs from fruit.  He loves water, but isn't that crazy about it out of a sippy cup or a bottle.  He likes to drink right from a plastic cup.  Sure I end up wearing a lot of it........but it's only water!  I can't drink water aroung him without him insisting that he gets some too!

yes i do try him with beeker & bottle, also just let him just hold it for himself, tryed fruit, he just wont have it....im sure hes fine as doctor says so...just wondering if anyone has the same thing going on,as you think your child is the only one,,,you do noththing but worry dont you when they dont have surtern things,, but joshua is a happy , laid back always laughing little guy..which should tell me hes doing ok,you just wonder about these things......thankyou for your replys.......

my little girl loooooooved her water but for some reason is beginning to not drink as much now. She as gone from drinking a whole sipper cup to not even drinking any on some days. Do you give Joshua fruit? I can't help but think because Bianca has fruit for lunch and dinner that the natural juice from them is whats making her not thirsty. I'd be interested to hear what other mums have to say about this too....

no , he dosent have fruit, have just got him to hold onto a farley,s rush, oh have tryed a banana, but wont have it...have tryed the fruity ones in jars likeapple and pear, he wont have that ..but health vistor & doctor says its fine as hes drinking his milk, perhaps he will drink it soon ..

Also, if you are breastfeeding he won't need the extra water.  Breastmilk is largely made up of water!
