Hi all,

I am a first time mother of a baby girl named Kylie. Every since Kylie was 3 months old, she only napped for 30 minutes at a time. She is down to 2 naps a day. Will she ever nap longer than 30 minutes? What happens when a baby drops the morning nap, will she sleep longer in the afternoon?

My son is 8 mnths old and still takes those 30 minute cat naps but he sleeps well at night so I guess I can't complain

My son was the same.  He took 30 minute naps 3 times a day and slept wonderfully at night.  Last week he started sleeping about an hour for his morning and early afternoon nap and sometimes a 30 min or nothing in the evening.  Unfortunately, he's waking up a lot at night now so I'm not getting my sleep at night anymore.

My daughter was the same way around that age. She is now 7 months and takes 3 naps, morning, afternoon, and evening. The afternoon nap is the longest which is usually about two hours. I'm sure she will start napping longer. Olivia's cat naps ended around 4 or 5 months.
