What potty chair/seat do you recommend?

I need to go out and buy a potty chair and/or a potty seat. What do you recommend? Brands, types, anything. I will probably need one for downstairs and one for upstairs. Right? Thanks! Oh...I have a 19 month old little boy.

for my son I am going to get the urinal that you hook onto the wall (he's only 4m right now). I hear it is easier to get boys to pee standing up, especially if they watch daddy. I have the Muchkin potty seat that goes on the big potty that my daughter uses and she loves it. It is very cushioned so it's comfertable instead of just hard plastic, and she picks it up and puts it onto the potty herself. I have a boon potty/stool too but she rather use the potty like me.

I got my daughter the fisher price cheer for me potty. It sings everytime she goes. She really likes it and is not scared of ot because it is just her size. It looks just like a big potty complete with a fake flusher and all and when your child is ready to start going on the bigg potty you can use the seat she the don't fall in.

My son is 18 1/2 months and I got him one at Walmart. It's by Safety 1st and it blue and white. Just a basic potty but he fits well on it so he doesn't pee out of it. I find some of them are too small so he can't sit far enough back so he pees out of the potty. This one is also good because the seat comes off and attaches to the toilet for when he's older and the bottom of the potty turns into a step stool as well. It was only $15. My son loves it.

I bought my son the Safety First one from Walmart that has the cushion that turns over for a boy or a girl. Very basic.

im having the same problem... I am shopping around for potty seats. I must have looked at a million of them and cant decide which one. Fischer price makes a little froggy one though and that will more than likely be the one I buy my son because I have read very good reviews on it and the price is good. Only 14.99. It also is just a basic one... it does not sing. I was thinking about getting one that sings and all of that but honestly I think he would end up just playing with it and not going potty and his reward can be a piece of candy or something small like that.

We got our daughter the one that sings too and she loves it but she would rather sit with the potty seat on the big toilet! Plus I can get her to sit longer on that one because her feet don't touch the ground. On her little potty she wants to keep standing up.

For my daughter we got her one that sings, she has fun with it. but while potty training my nephew, my brother said he was scared of the one that sang. i guess it would depend on your sons personality. I also let my daughter pick hers out herself so she likes it cuz she knows its hers
