Hi Collene, my little one will not let me feed him his veges unless he has some finger food to munch on at the same time - otherwise he ends up with the veges all over him as he loves to touch EVERYTHING!! The foods he is having are: cut up banana, well cooked carrots, steamed beans, pasta, bread slices, sticks of cheese, noodles, chunks of meat (his favourite is sausages with the skin removed as he cannot break it up), peeled nectarines (messy but very yummy if juicy), grapes (peeled or not, but must be seedless), mince balls, milk arrowroot biscuits, garlic bread. My little one only has 2 teeth but uses his gums to mush everything up. We have had a few gagging (not choking) episodes but he coughs whatever it is out and goes back for more - their gag reflex is very good. Good luck experimenting!!

I am just now starting to give my daughter finger foods as well. She is eating cut up bananas, pasta, peas, carrots, bread, shredded cheese, and cauliflower (mashed into pieces). I have also bought the Eggo Pancake Minis and give her one cut up with a fruit for breakfast. She only has her two bottom teeth, so it is difficult to come up with new ideas for things she can mash with her gums.

rice bubble breakfast cereal, if you shake a little onto the high chair tray it helps them with their pincer movement with their fingers and the rice bubbles dissolve nicely in the mouth but definitely give them a drink to go with it as well :)

I also have a thing that's like a net with a big handle on it that you can semi mush veg or fruit and put it in and they can chomp on it without choking on large lumps :)

I am a BLW fan so this is a list some of the stuff my daughter eats...
- Banana (give it to her whole)
- Roast pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, mushrooms, egg plant, potato
- Lightly steamed brocoli and cauli, asparagus and snow peas
- Chunks of cheese
- Any meat (fish included)
- Boiled egg cut in half
- Whole pear, nectaring, peach
- Skinned orange wedges
- Watermelon, rockmelon
- Rice cakes
- Avocado
- Rusks
- Sandwich
- Toast
- Chicken leg (the wole thing, except I remove the time bone)
- Spiral pasta
This is just a few things, she pretty well eats anything now :)

puffs, cheerios, cheese chunks, blueberries cut in half, chunks of banana are my babe's favorites

I've started to feed my son cheerios, yogurt melts (my son loves the mixed berries kind of melts), puffs (sweet potato and banana favored), fruits (i.e banana), and yogurt with fruit. You want to give your son food that can dissolve in the mouth easily and does not have to be chewed up. I was nervous at time - giving my son a Cheerio - but I broke it and gave him a half at a time.
