MOLY BAILY- it sounds like your lil' guy is alot like my son. keighan is 11 months old now and he still wakes up during the night sometimes several times and he has just started (since he has started crawling and being VERY ACTIVE) taking any "powere naps" during the day and i call them power naps cause they cant be called naps they are almost never more than 30-45 min long and if he takes a nap that long we pay for it by him being up alot in the night and he wont rest again till bed. if he naps for only 15-30 min he might rest later in the afternoon for another 15-30 min "might"! and he "might" sleep decent during the night. but it amazes me how active he is and how little he sleeps. i'm agsausted just watching him and/or chassing him (and/or meanning when/if his dad works all day). its nice to hear that my il' man isnt the only crazy non- sleeper:} good luck! i know i need it! (He is a good boy though he isnt all fussy and cranky like you think he might be by looking at how little he sleeps which also amazes me in it self it amazes his doc too!) sarah -mommy keighan- 11 month old tommy- daddy

Abby is still taking two naps also. In the morning its 1 1/2 -2 hrs, and in the after noon about the same (if I'm lucky it aligns with big brothers nap!!!) She is in bed by 7:30.

i'm lucky if he takes a 1/2 hour nap a day unless he's sick (then he'll sleep all day if he can). he's decided he'd rather be a super tired crabby Tristan than possibly miss something he considers exciting :)

I never set a schedule for my son, because he never wanted one. My son will take anywhere between 1-3 naps a day depending on his mood and how tired he is. He will usually just lay down on the floor with his sippy cup when he's tired. He'll only sleep for about half an hour usually because he wants to crawl and play.

my son still has 2 naps. 1 in the morning & 1 in the afternoon, the plunket told me he shouldnt but if they wana take him and lokk after him while hes screaming because hes tired, i feel that if he needs to sleep then so be it he doesnt go by a book like plunket do. i say if she healthy and happy let her sleep she will eventually stop having the naps when shes ready!! just enjoy your quite time while you can.
hope this helps

Mine takes one in the morning, one in the afternoon, both between 20 mins and 1 1/2 hours depending on the activity and one short snuggle time nap with me when i get home from work, just before dinner around 7-7:30

My daughter takes 2 naps a day as well. She usually gets up around 9:00am. By 12 she is ready for her nap. She may sleep for about 1-2 hours. She will usually take another nap later during they day. Now that she has started to walk I don't know if that will change her routine. She has always slept through the night since birth so I'm hoping that her becoming more active won't change her sleeping patterns.

yea my son still takes two sometimes even 3 naps a day. one of them is about 2-3 hours long. the others are closer to 45 minutes

[deleted account]

my son usually has 2 naps. He is up at 7am and has the first 1hr nap at 9:30am then another nap at 1pm for approx 1.5hr. Sometimes he will have a third 0.5hr nap at 4:30pm before his dinner at 5pm if he has had a very active day. He is then back in bed at 6pm for the night.

Although my daughter is much happier and sleeps better at night when she gets her morning and afternoon naps (that's what she normally does at home on weekends, anyway), at daycare, it seems like she doesn't want to miss anything and they tell me it's hard to get her to take a nap more than once during the day for about 30-45 minutes.

My son takes 2 naps too. And when he's only had one he starts waking at night so it's back to two. He's up about 7 /7:30 sleeps from 10:30 til about 12:30 then again from about 3 - 4. He not allowed to sleep past 4 as he goes to bed at 7 and if he sleep he has difficulty settling and then everything is out of wack. Only on very rare occasion do i have to wake him anyway.

Most of the post are the same...I use the rule first nap 2 hours after rainier wakes up next nap is 3 hours after he wakes up from first nap. And he sleeps 12 hours at night about 14-16 hours total. From what I have read I am not planning to change this until 15-18 months old.

My son hardly sleeps during the day. If im lucky he will have at least an hour. I put him down in the morning and i leave him there he doesn't cry but he talks to all his toys sometimes he may fall asleep. Otherwise i'll put him down in the afternoon and he usually has a wee nap then..

My daughter gets up with my husband and I then takes a nap about 10 and another around 3. We give her a bath before bed and this really helps her sleep. We use the Johnson's bed time bubble bath and lotion and it really seems to relax her and puts her to sleep. She lately has been waking up around 3am standing in her crib so she does sleep with us a couple hours. She is a wonderful baby.

Every baby is different but a nap in the morning and one in the afternoon is perfectly fine. Especially if your baby is active. It takes a lot of energy to grow. :)

My son is 11 months and because our schedule is odd he takes a 4 hour nap in the morning from 8am-noon, then an afternoon nap around 1:30 and that is about an hour or two then an hour nap around 7pm or 8. Then his bed time is about 10:30pm to 11pm since my husband works nights and we take him to work and pick him at at 7am.

Mine does an hour to 2 in the AM. If he wakes up anytime before 12 noon, then he gets a 30 mins cat nap before 3 pm. Sometimes he sleep from 10-1 or even 2 pm and then he gets no more naps and stays up till bedtime at 7. When he is growing or sick, he usually needs the additional 30-one hour cat nap for the second time in the AM.

My son if 10 months and needs two naps...I have a friend who's daughter takes three and they are trying to eliminate one. I have found that with my son if he does not get his two naps he thinks bed time is a nap and wakes up after two hours ready to go. Good luck but enjoy the break twice a day.....

I have twins so I stick to a pretty good schedule...up at 6 or 6:30, nap at 9 for an hour to an hour and a half, nap at 1 for an hour and bed between 6:30 and 7:30. Mine are so tired by 6 that they like to go to bed. The only bad thing is they still wake up at 3:30 to eat a quick 15 min. bottle but I like them going to bed so early.
