does anyone else have a june 2009 baby that sleeps 12 hours at night? i love the fact that my son sleeps so much, but sometimes i get worried that he's not eating enough cause he's sleeping. sometimes he only has 4 or 5 bottles a day. he's not under weight and the doctors keep telling me he would let me know if he was hungry.

My daughter goes to sleep around 5ish and then wakes me around 4-5ish in the morning. She only drinks around 20oz a day and I was getting worried also so I took her to the doctors. He told me not to worry and as long as she was putting weight on she was fine. I have such a hard time feeding her them 20oz also as she does not like feeding time and that is the only time she does cry. The doctor told me some babies do not need as much food as others.

I think we need to stop worrying and enjoy the fact that we have great babies who love to sleep:-)

My son being sleeping 10 to 11 hours at night for awhile, He alway lets me know when he is hungry so would not worry about it. For some reason this week he has decide he wants to get up around 4ish to eat. I am not really sure why this has happen, i just know they will let you know.

my daughter goes down at about 6 or 7pm then i wake her up for a feed at about 10 or 11pm before i go to bed which she doesnt mind, she doesnt get cranky then she goes back down til about 7 or 8am so she gets 4 bottles a day and she is definetly putting on weight she is a little chubba, and she lets me know if its a bit past her feed time so im sure your son would let you know if he is hungry and if he is sleeping through then surely he isnt hungry or he would wake up!!! sounds like your in luck with a sleep all night baby...enjoy!!!

Rachel does that sometimes. I agree with the docs, your baby will let you know if he's hungry. A hungry baby won't sleep.
