My weight just kept going up after baby was born - She is almost 9 months now. 10 weeks ago a friend and nutritionst just said to me to eat as much raw fruit and vege as I can in a day and cut out anything processed. in 10 weeks I have lost 10kg about 22lbs. and it is still dropping and I am really healthy and totally nourished from all the good food. I still eat pretty normal but just have lots of fresh fruit salad for breakfast, salad & tuna sandwichs or omlette full of raw onion parsley and tomato for lunch and what ever i feel like for dinna as long as it includes lots of veges perferably raw but I usually stiryfry or lightly steam or if I am really good make a salad. I was diagnosed with Fybromyalgia 7 months ago and I am now sympton free and 10kg lighter all because of the food i eat. and better still my baby who is breastfed has never ever been sick not even a little bit.

Same here, lost it real quick, then gained a little back, now it's not the weight I'm too worried about, I mean, I'm a size bigger than I was pre-baby, but it's the un-toned body I'm having a problem with. My tax refund should be here anyday, and I plan on getting a gym membership. I hate the thought of having a 2nd summer where I'm not fit and beach ready. Good luck! If you need support and a motivater I'm always up for a convo!

I lost all of my baby weight in the first 3 weeks....then 10 lbs found me again and I can't get rid of it! For me it's not so much the weight, it's the way my body looks now. I just can't get over the flabby stomache thing...ugh!

I got rid of my pp weight with the help of drinking Mummy magic weight loss tea. Drink plenty of water, avoid junk food and this tea will help you regaining your pre-pregnancy body and weight.

In June I had my 3rd baby, after the first 2 I had no problem losing the weight but this one it was like a lot of people here mentioned I lost most of it then it started to come back. I joined weight watchers and lost the last 24lbs in 10 weeks. The best advice from me is to track or write down everthing that you eat, drink lots of water, add more fruits and vegies, and high fiber foods. Good luck everyone. Its a constant battle.

Remember that every body gains an loses at different rates. It took almost a year to gain the weight, give your body that long to recover back to its normal size. Don't stress about weight. Stress actually makes your body want to keep the weight on. Relax and have fun with your baby. You will be running around and chasing them soon and the weight will slide away.

The only reason I lost all my baby weight was because I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled and had to go on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I was SO hungery! But it hurt to eat...
It took me over a year to loose my baby weight from my first baby so don't panic. If you are activilly trying to loose it it will probably happen. I took my aaron for walks all the time and that helped.

I lost my weight pretty fast and I've been wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes for several months now, and I'm thankful for that.. But I am left with excess skin/flab on my belly that was never there before and will probably never go away. I'm okay with it, except with summer coming up, I dread wearing a swim suit a little bit. I did find a new one that I like, but it's two pieces, so I am nervous about whether people will notice my stretch marks... eek!

I have not been able to loose all my pregnancy weight. I lost an initial 10 kilos to start with but the other 13 kilos doesn't seem to be moving at all. My son is now closer to 10 months and I have gotten to the stage where I am sick of the weight, not fitting into my old clothes, and the comments from not so sensitive friends and family. Last week I started the blood type eating plan, which is eating according to your blood type and what your body can handle. My blood type is O+ so that basically means lots of protein and veggies, NO WHEAT in any form and limited dairy. 6 days in and I've lost 3 kilos and feel fabulous. I intent on sticking to this as I am just feeling so much better in general and have so much more energy for my son. I'm following the plan pretty strictly and there are great little tips like drinking a glass of pineapple juice everyday as it reduces water retention and bloating, Also eating kelp everyday reduces fat retention in the body. So far this is going great for me and I recommend giving it a go. Hope this has been helpful

I lost about 20 lbs right away, but have been stuck since then (my little guy is 9mos). I have started to exercise more, got a membership at the Y, and am walking almost everyday.. so it's coming off slowly. I expected to loose a lot breastfeeding, but didn't really happen- cuz i was so hungry. Now that he's just on formula it seems to be better...

I lost the weight almost immediately, and then some, then quickly gained some back in muscle. Of course, I never gained excess weight (just the required 25-30 lbs) during my pregnancy. I walk everywhere (I do not drive at all), and I carried the baby in a carrying pack for the first 2 months of his life (and still do once in a while). Lately, though, I've been losing weight consistently since I stopped breastfeeding, so I'm a bit underweight right now.

i left the hospital in my jeans! it only took a couple weeks to completely loose the weight. i was a size 5 pre-baby and i gained about 40 pounds while i was pregnant and then a month after i gave birth i noticed my jeans werent fitting me the way they used to. i thought it was just from wearing them and stretching them out for the first 3-4 months but come to find out i needed a size 1! i was so shocked that i lost so much weight! i thought id end up gaining it back but im still the same size. havent been on a scale since my 6 week apointment so im not sure how much i weigh now but i was somewhere between 115 and 120 pre-baby and i was 112 post-baby. im kind of curious as to where im at now.

I was back to my pre preg weight 8 weeks after giving birth, and have since gone on to lose 35cms of body fat and 12lbs since then, and the best bit is, I'm feeling fantastic!!, I have loads of energy and apart from the jelly belly (Which is slowly going) My shape is back (I'm naturally hourglass figure). What really helped me was Herbalife, I am an independant distributor, and I can not believe what a difference it has made to my life! After Eva (1st child) I got Post natal depression and comfort ate, then got on to herbalife, had lost three stone before finding out I was preggers again, and the rest is history. It's great for if you are really busy and on the go all the time, which I think applies to all of us here, being Mum's!!! If you want to find out more, I'd be happy to have a chat, completely on a friendly basis, x x

Its funny, I am the same way, in 2 weeks after the baby I put my skinny jeans back on, but 10 extra pounds came back again and now I am working hard to loose it, which is kind of harder than I thought and takes forever. I think it might be because I am nursing and trying to it rich foods and dont limit myself that much. I decided I will really cut on a lot of foods when I stop breastfeeding.

Nope! With my daughter, I didn't lose baby weight until I stopped nursing (or dried up) at 11 months. I'm still 20 lbs up and my son is now 9 months old. I'm assuming he'll stop nursing this Spring/Summer sometime and hoping with some biking with the kids this summer it'll start coming off...

I am having a lot of trouble with loosing weight. I think part of it is because of my thyroid and my hormones have changed again so the rx may not be strong enough. I am now working out 3 times a day during my lunch break, eating smaller serving sizes and healthier (or trying to). I can see the results but I have a lot of problems with the loose tummy skin! It is the hardest thing to get rid of. Good luck :)

My baby has just turned 9 months and I've got half a dress size left to lose. It took me ages. I lost a heap of weight when he was born, then put a stack on. Then I found zumba. I love to dance so zumba was actually a really fun way for me to lose weight. As soon as I started, my appetite went through the roof, but instead of eating massive meals 3 times a day, I have smaller meals and snack 3 times a day! My metabolism kicked in and bingo. Weight just dropped off me. I had the problem with lose skin as well. I started using Bio-Oil and it's made a massive difference. 9 months after having pregnancy, people constantly tell me that I don't look like I've had a baby and I'm actually pretty happy with the way I look in a bikini now. If you like to dance, I definitely recommend zumba, and Bio Oil not only fixed my flabby skin, it has really faded my stretch marks till they're nearly invisible. Good luck.

I lost the weight and toned up by 6 months postpartum but I am the exception as I am a fitness professional that works with women through pregnancy and into motherhood. I promise you, it didn't come off easily, I worked very hard to get back into shape. But it is possible if you approach fitness appropriately. I suggest, if you are going to hit the gym, consult with a fitness professional who understands the post-childbirth body. If I can advise you in any other way, please let me know. Good luck and don't get discouraged.

I have been running 3 times a week but need to do more sit-ups...the stomach is the worst. I had twins and weighed 120 when I got pregnant and its hard to carry around the extra 10 lbs. now.

I lost all the weight and then some, but it's that stupid extra tummy from having babies that won't budge. I've had eight kids, am 5'3 weigh 120 lbs and fit into 3/4 pants. So I'm not fat, but I got that tummy thing going on, that infamous pooch. Have been working out everyday so it is slowly disappearing, but still, a tummy tuck would be great!lol. So don't beat yourself up, I have had to workout a bunch to get to where I am! and deny myself fatty foods alot more and cut back on soda and sweets and that extra helping of food that I really didn't need. But as time went on I noticed I started feeling better and really liked how I felt and stopped thinking about how I looked so much.

I am now under my pre-pregnancy weight by 9 lbs. I do still have the "flabbiness" that everyone keeps referring to, but I just don't have the time to work out, so I have no excuse to complain about it! I used Weight Watchers Online to help me lose the extra weight, it was really easy and I can still enjoy all the food I love (I use the weekends to "enjoy" the things I'm not supposed to have, but still cut down on the portions that I was eating before).

I`m going to offer a different perspective on this. I was 114lbs before I was pregnant, lost weight in the beginning but then went up to 128lbs, and after she was born I lost it all, and then some, within a few days. She was sick in the first week and I was really stressed and not eating well. I also breastfed for 8 months and in that time went down to 92lbs. Once I stopped breastfeeding I gained 3lbs back instantly and thought it would keep going but it stopped. She is now just over 9 months old and I`m stuck at 95lbs and miserable. I`m tired all the time, I try to eat to get my weight back, lugging a chubby baby around is exhausting, people think I starve myself because I look disgusting, I`ve gone to the doctor for ideas to get my weight back, and he says it will come in time. I do still have that little belly flab though that comes with having a baby. Anyways, my point is, there are very few people that get their pre-baby body back, and after looking in the mirror everyday and feeling miserable, I try to look at my daughter and remember it`s worth it.
Hang in there!

I have, and then some. I got up to 237 when pregnant with our second. And now I weigh 160, thats a difference of 77 pounds!! All I've done is have smaller portions no junk and two to three veggies with dinner. I also use the wii fit about two to three times a week.

After our first it took me 13 months to lose the weight, but this time it only took about 3 months:)

Just try to eat right, I know it's hard ladies, sometimes we don't have time. But if you can eat about eight different vegetables in a week, or eight times a week, you can do it!

I gained 21lbs while pregnant and lost it all within the first month; however, I still have my pregnancy shape and my belly is still quite flabby so I still have a long ways to go. I've heard breastfeeding helps you lose weight so I'm a little worried about gaining the weight back when I stop breastfeeding as my weight has been holding steady.

I gained 75 lbs while I was pregnant (ouch!) I still have about 25 to go. But I've been lazy, no gym membership or real diets, just day to day exercise and normal food intake. It'll come off eventually, and nice weather is coming so it'll be easier to exercise with baby. Hang in there!

I'm a personal trainer and gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy (the first 20 due to taking progesterone during the first trimester). I was so excited when I had lost 25 lbs in the first two weeks postpartum, but have lost maybe 5 lbs since then. My diet is getting back on track, although I don't eat below 2000 cal per day in order to keep my milk supply up. I also walk a lot (speed walking) with the baby and our dog and lift weights a couple times a week. I have 10 lbs to lose and can't tell you how many mothers have told me they were unable to lose the last 10 until they stopped breastfeeding. Some women say that nursing made them lose so much weight, but many of my clients and friends report being frustrated while nursing. I plan to nurse for quite a while still and as long as I'm eating well and exercising I'm going to try not to worry about that last bit. Good luck to you and if you have any questions I love to help. :)

Sort of, but NOT. I can relate. I actually got back to pre-pregnancy weight by about 8 weeks post-partum (when was breastfeeding) but as soon as I stopped breastfeeding and got a depo-provera shot, I gained 10 pounds back in less than 2 months and I look pregnant again and I cannot lose it. I just joined a diet program to help me lose it.

Same here! My LO is 8 months old and I’m stuck with those last 5 kg (about 11 lb) that just won’t go away. I gained 25kg (~55lb) during my pregnancy and had a few extra to begin with so I was really determined to lose it all and the extra but no luck. I walk and do Pilates (which really helps with the fat around the stomach) and try to eat less but so far very little improvement. I promised myself I’d lose it all in the time it took me to gain it but it looks like it’s a promise I’ll have to break. What helped me to this point was adding loads of vegetables to my diet and drinking loads of water, but I’ve since stopped and am trying to go back to that cos I’m sure it’ll help. Good luck with the weight loss.

Don't worry, you're not the only one! My son is 8.5 months and I've plataued with 10 lbs more to lose. But I'm not worried - I've heard that while you're breastfeeding, you need to keep on a little extra weight (plus the weight for the extra fluids), and that once you stop you'll lose the rest.

Even if I don't get back my pre-pregnancy body (which I probably won't) I just need time to learn to love my new shape! :)

With my first baby I lost my weight within the first few months after she was born. With my second I was never able to get rid of the last 20 lbs. (although I never really tried). Now with my third baby I am working very hard to get back to my skinny figure. I started going to the Y when Gloria was 6 weeks old. I do Zumba and I walk to take my oldest to school, and to pick her up. I am also eating better and more often. Gloria is now 8 months old and I have lost 25 lbs. Only 20 more to go......Size 5 here I come :)

Im still struggling, my little one is 9 monthes also and im 136 pounds at the moment. I was originally 121 which I prefer. Im 4 ft 11 inches. Im slowly losing weight, you just have to avoid the fatty foods and if you do indulge everyonce in a while just go walking around the park with your baby. Im now 132 pounds, trying to eat healthy, exercise twice a week but i seem to be stuck where i am, oh well i might have to accept being a bigger size than what i was before i got pregnant!!!!!!
