Anyone starting to potty train?

My daughter is pulling down her pants and taking off her diaper and tellling me that she is wet. I have put her in panties one time and she bent over and squated and said,"Pee." She peed on my floor. I was wondering if I should go on and potty train her. She is 19 months and I haven't seen very many kids her age ready to be potty trained.. Should I go on and potty train her? My son was 18 months when he started sitting on the potty but, he was 27 months when he was fully potty trained, He became scared of the potty because I put him on it so early. I am worroid that this will happen to her. Is anyone else potty training. If so how is it going?

She sounds ready. There is no harm in trying. I just started my 20 month old on the potty. He does not like a dirty diaper. He gets me to change him all the time. And I can tell when he is doing his business. So I bought a potty and he has gone a few times. It's still in the early stages so time will tell. My almost ten year old daughter was similar to him and hated dirty diapers. She was a breeze, 2 1/2 she was no accidents and pull ups at night. Each child is different. Good luck , would love to hear how things are going!!

I had tried to potty my son as early as 2 but he didn't finally succeed until he turned 3 and he had very few accidents since then.

Fast forward to my daughter who is 21 months now and she tells us when she has pooped so we are pulling out the little potty for her and we are telling her to tell us when she has to to us she sounds like she will potty train faster but we'll see...I've heard girls are supposed to learn it sooner than boys.

I would definitely say that she is ready. I have been battling with my 22 month old about the potty for months. At first he was super interested but then wanted nothing to do with it. So I just gave him the option and left the potty out and now he tells me he has to go and he will sit on it he still isn't using it consistently but hes getting better. i would say get a potty and give her the option of the potty, but don't pressure her and she will use it when she is ready but i bet she will train fast. Both of my oldest kids were trained by two so I think they go when they are ready and they don't feel pressured. Good luck!
