Meat mixture
*One pound each ground beef and Jimmy Dean Hot or any brand Italian sausage, browned, drained and rinsed in hot water
*2 cans tomato sauce (I think 15 ounces or thereabouts)
*1 to two cans tomato paste (depending on size you buy; 2 tiny cans or 1 large can)
*Italian Seasoning to your desired taste
*Parsley flakes, enough to make it pretty

*Large package lasagna noodles, cooked
*Non-stick cooking spray

Finely shredded mozzarella cheese, about four cups worth
(regularly shredded can be used, but finely shredded melts more evenly and you'll have less clumps)

Cheese Mixture
*30 ounces ricotta cheese
*1 cup of your favorite cheese (I used Italian Blend)
*2 eggs, well beaten
*Italian Seasoning (again to your desired taste)
*Parsley flakes (again, enough to make it pretty)
Blend together all ingredients for meat mixture; set aside.
Then blend together all ingredients for cheese mixture in a large bowl and set that aside as well.
Assembly: Spray the lasagna pan well with non-stick cooking spray.
First layer: Half the noodles
Second layer: Half the meat mixture
Third layer: Half the cheese mixture
Fourth layer: Half the shredded mozzarella cheese
Fifth layer: Remaining half of noodles
Sixth layer: Remaining half of cheese mixture
Seventh layer: Remaining half of meat mixture
Eighth layer: Rest of shredded mozzarella cheese
Bake in oven at 350 degrees Farenheit for at least 30 minutes and check for even browness across the top.
You'll likely need to bake a while longer until that desired
even browness is complete and I will insert a table knife
through the center to see if the lasagna is hot through
and through.
