I need help! I am in a dinner rut & find myself making the same few things over & over again! It is me, my husband & my 2 girls who are 3 & 1. I need some new ideas & recipes so it would be helpful if anyone could tell me their favorite thing to make for dinner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! =)

I don't have a name for it but it's a huge hit at my house :) Take 1 lb ground turkey and brown - add 2 cans cream of mushroom soup and some fresh mushrooms if you have on hand. Add pepper and salt to taste. Cook some rice up - white rice or wild rice are best. Cook some green beans and put on plate with rice - top with turkey sauce - YUM!!

Taco Salad

My husband and daughter (4) love this taco salad. I use hamburger meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, black olives, Doritos (nacho cheese), and Catalina salad dressing. Brown hamburger and mix with taco seasoning, or use your own seasoning. Let hamburger cool a bit, mix everything except chips, mix these in last so they stay crunchy. I top with sour cream and salsa.

Have you ever made tator tot casserole? my grandkids love it!

brown 1lb of hamburger, drain, add salt and pepper and mix either cream of mushroom soup or mix cream of mushroom soup with cheddar soup. Put in the bottom of an 11by 13 pan and put your favorite veges(either canned or fresh) and put a bag of frozen tator tots on top of that mixture, shred cheese and put that over the tator tots, bake in a 375 preheated oven for about 20 minutes, let cool and serve.
I hope this helps.

Call it whatever you want, it is kinda a cross between quiche and chicken pot pie.
Take refrigerator pie crust and cut into 10 pieces, roll into a ball and press into mini muffin tin.
2 chicken breasts cooked through and cut into small diced
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup of ricotta cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese and extra for topping
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
2 tsp dijon mustard
parsley, optional
salt & pepper
add ins: spinach or broccoli
Mix chicken and all other ingredients in a bowl until combined and spoon into pie crusts that are in muffin tins. Sprinkle parm cheese on top. Cook at 375 degrees for about 20 mins.
My family loved this recipe.

Here's another one that we just tried last week that will now be put into rotation . . It's a new on from Pampered Chef.

Zesty Ravioli Skillet

1/3 cup (75 mL) heavy whipping cream (I used milk)

4 cups (1 L) loosely packed fresh baby spinach leaves

6 oz (175 g) provolone cheese, grated (mozz is fine)

1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil

1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded

3 garlic cloves, pressed

2 cans (14.5 oz/398 mL each) diced tomatoes with onions, undrained

1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt

1/2 tsp (2 mL) coarsely ground black pepper

1 pkg (24 oz/700 g) small frozen cheese ravioli (about 65)

Halved grape tomatoes (optional)

Measure cream using Easy Read Measuring Cup. Wash spinach in large Stainless Mesh Colander; drain. Grate cheese using Ultimate Mandoline fitted with grating blade. Set aside cream, spinach and cheese.

Add oil to (12-in./30-cm) Skillet; heat over medium-high heat 1-3 minutes or until shimmering. Finely chop jalapeño with Food Chopper. Add jalapeño to Skillet; cook and stir 1 minute or until crisp-tender. Press garlic into Skillet with Garlic Press; cook and stir 15-20 seconds or until fragrant.

Add tomatoes, salt and black pepper to Skillet; cook and stir with Bamboo Spatula 1-2 minutes or until simmering. Add ravioli; stir to coat. Cook, uncovered, 4-5 minutes or until tender. Stir cream into Skillet. Cook, uncovered, 1-2 minutes or until simmering. Sprinkle spinach over ravioli; cook, covered, 1 minute or until spinach starts to wilt.

Remove Skillet from heat. Top with cheese; cover Skillet and let stand 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with grape tomatoes, if desired

Sloppy Joes

1 lb ground meat

1 8 oz can tomato sauce

4 oz BBQ sauce (we like Open Pit for this recipe)

2 oz ketcup

Brown ground beef and drain. Add sauces and cook on low for 15-20 minutes.

It couldn't be easier and my family loves it compared to the canned sauces. I have also jazzed it up with onion and pepper, but it's fabulous as is.

Sheppard's pie!! My one year old and my husband can't get enough.

The bottom layer is 1 lb of browned ground beef. I usually season it with seasoning salt, pepper and a little thyme. Then I put a layer of cheese....whatever is left in the fridge, but not slices. Next, I put a layer of corn or peas. On the top I put cheesy mash potatoes. I bake it in the oven at 350 for about 15 or 20 minutes. Sometimes I put another layer of cheese on top, but it depends on how much cheese is in my potatoes. Its really quick and lasts in the fridge for a couple of days, although it is gone in two day at my house. Yummy Yummy!

sometimes in a pinch - we make sandwiches - here's one:

take a bread slice and smear some butter on it. top it with sliced cucumber, tomato slices, sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste. cover it with another slice of bread and toast it on a non stick flat pan / girdle with very little oil. make it as crisp as you like and its ready in less than 5 mins.

makes great for in between snack times too :)

just buy some sausage links and dice up some potatoes add salt, peper, and some bacon grease for some flavor and cook it till the potatoes are done. i also like to add all my vegetable to it like squash or carrots or onions. it is so simple and you only have to dirty up one pan because it is all together!!
