Avocados are delicious, not everyone likes them. I mash them up equal parts with ricotta cheese. Salt, pepper, nutmeg or Fresh cilantro, you can get creative once you try it. My picky 9 year old daughter had no clue there was avocado in it. Spread it in a sandwich instead of mayo, dip veggies, ritz crackers on corn chips.
It makes a good baby snack
Enjoy !!!

My 5 yr old eats them sliced with a little salt and drizzled with good balsamic vinegar. I LOVE them sliced in a salad with romaine, strawberries, red onion, grilled chicken, toasted almonds and drizzled with balsamic as well.

As others have probably said, avocados can go well on anything! I love them on tacos. I have to watch my dairy intake now because of my daughter's milk allergy and I put them smashed up on tacos instead of cheese and sour cream. I actually like it better! They are great on a burger. I love to eat them on their own with just a little salt on them too. They are also good on salad. One thing I enjoy doing as well is mashing them up really good with a fork or potato masher and adding a little garlic, salt, onion powder, cumin and cayenne pepper for a nice homemade guacomole to eat with chips. It is delish. To keep the guacomole from browning add a smidge of lemon or lime juice, one time I didn't have either in the house and I just added a tsp of vinegar and it was fine too.

Great question - avocados are so so good! I love them in salad, on a sandwich, plain w/salt, blended in smoothies, with any Mexican food (in tacos, burritos, on top of enchiladas, etc), I'm sure there's more but those are the ideas I have off the top of my head. Enjoy!

It's easier to ask what DON"T they go with! A topper on Mexican food, always in salads, sandwiches. I love them with omlets & scrambled eggs. When putting out an atipasti plate, I love to do sliced avocado (sprinkled with a little lime juice) along with peppers, olives, salami

I'm eating avocados and tomatos with balsamic and olive oil right now :) Also for a quick and easy guacamole, mash up a few avocados and just mix in some zesty italian salad dressing.

Sandwiches of any sort, salads (of course!) - I like to put them in a chef salad with hard boiled eggs, turkey or ham slices and cheese. You can also make guacamole, but to be honest, I have never tried it. Always wanted to though!

Avacados sliced are great on burgers too. You can mash them add a tablespoon of salsa, a blop of sour cream/cottage cheese, salt pepper, squeeze of lemon and you have guacamole for tortilla chips, burgers, a taco, or in a burrito. I like to eat it with a spoon with a sprinkle of salt.

Hi Ashleigh,

I love to have sliced avacados on my sandwiches--I can skip the mayo this way. They are also fantastic as a snack--my daughter and I love them with a little lime juice and salt.

I can't wait to see other ideas!
