i try to keep the food healthy..but juuuust to be safe i always throw in a daily vitamin! just because i know it can be pricey to buy all the healthiest foods out there.

Well coming from a family with one income, I'll tell you it is pricy to keep fresh fruits and veggies in the house. I try to not buy junk we only get junk if were out for like a family day or we decide to have sanwiches and chips for dinner. Also I try to serve a fruit and veggie for every meal (well for breakfast a fruit) even if its canned or frozen actully there are good studies about can and frozen veggies and fruits. I will also make desserts that have fruit in it instead of just Ice cream or something like that (my kids favorite sugar free choco pudding with sugar free wipped top with strawberries- they don't know it's sugar free actully my 6 year old read it and said mom this tastes like it has sugar..lol)

Do not keep junk food in the house at all times. I only buy a bag of chips about 1 time every 2 months and then it is a treat. Keep alot of fruits and veggies in the fridge. If that is what you have around the house that is what they will eat.

I try and keep baby carrots, celery sticks and fruit in the fridge. I find that even for me if the veggies are ready to just grab ad eat, they are more willing to eat them.
