All of these desserts sounds yummy! Some folks like the lighter side of desserts. : )

My absolute all time favorite is a home made with mostly fruit. Your choice. I usually use the ones I know are only going to last a bit longer then they will spoil. I like to try different things. Strawberry and lime (cut off the skin sections.) blueberry and pomerainian maybe a kiwi. If you use a sweetener, use a banana. Typically you only need half of a small banana per serving with other fruits. I do not usually use frozen, but I have it in the freezer just in case. Put you fruit in a blender and liquefy. Add your desired amount of ice. More ice = thicker outcome. Blend until ice cream consistency. Add two tablespoons of cool whip and blend. You can make many different variation with this. Layer it in an ice cream Sunday glass with chocolate pudding, or your favorite jello and garnish with cool whip on top with a fruit wedge and maybe chocolate shavings. You could line a pie pan with crushed pecans, cinnamon Graham crackers, and honey (just enough that the mixture will stay together) fill the pan with your favorite fresh fruit, chopped, then bake it in oven just long enough to heat the fruit without making it mushy. Let cool or serve warm. Top the pie (only if you plan to eat it right away) with you fresh fruit sorbe', cool whip and a slice of fruit from the pie. So easy to make. Easy to dress up. Flexible, very yummy : ), not heavy and a very healthy dessert. It's also wonderful alone. Can make alot and freeze it, or just make alittle. Remember some fruits can be very high in sugar content. The difference is that your body doesnt work as hard digesting, and will be used first as an energy source rather than being stored as fat. I know you said any dessert, I hope you enjoy this one.

Here is some others and most them cost $5 or less to make. I rarely make anything that is expensive. And I mostly use store brand. I'll specify if it needs to be name brand.

Lemon Ice Box Pie

1 can of sweetened condensed milk; 1 big tub of cool whip, thawed; Minute Maid pure lemon juice, thawed (will be in the frozen section); 2 graham cracker crusts.

Combine cool whip and condensed milk in a bowl. Add lemon juice to taste. Pour into pie crust and refrigerate till ready to serve.

Cherry Cheese Pie

Filling: 1-8 oz. pack of cream cheese, softened; 1 small tub of cool whip; 1 tsp. lemon juice

Crust: 1-cup graham cracker crust; 1/2 stick melted butter; 1/2 cup sugar

Topping: 1 can cherry fruit pie filling (You can use any type fruit you want or don't top it at all. I just like cherry's.)

Put graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl and mix well. Put in pie pan and press down on bottom and sides. May not cover the whole side.

Beat softened cream cheese, cool whip, and lemon juice in bowl until creamy. (The softer the cream cheese the easier it is to mix.) Pour into crust and top with fruit topping. This can be served immediately or refrigerated till time to serve.

Ok I have dozens. I love simple recipes. My favorite is my mothers peach cobbler, which I'm making tonight I might add. Take a large can (29 oz.) of sliced peaches in heavy syrup and pour it in a casserole dish. Take 1 cup melted butter, 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk and mix together and pout in the middle of the peaches. Bake in the oven at 350-400 depending on how hot your oven gets. When the crust is golden brown its done.

My MIL makes the best dessert, its so simple! It calls for chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, whipped cream and heath bars.

(you can of course substitute for similar ingredients of different flavors)

bake the cake homemade or box

make pudding also homemade or otherwise

chop the heath bars into tiny pieces

layer the cake, pudding whipped cream and candy bars.

ta da!

doesnt last long enough to save for left overs but if you have some left just put it in the fridge. can be made in advance. great for children from 1-100

A really quick one is pilsburry crossant rolls. Unwrap them into triangles. Put in 1 tsp jam or nutella and fold up. Bake as directed. Also bananas sauteed in butter and brown sugar and poured over ice cream. You can toast pound cake and serve with jam drizzled over top and whip cream. Store bought pound cake (choc kind) broken up. Put a layer of that on the bottom of a dish, top with any kind of pudding, then some fresh or canned fruit and repeat layers as many times as you want and top with whip cream and choc shavings or choc chips. Hope that helps!
