Mac and cheese casserole

This is sooo easy. Just cook about 2 cups or a package of large elbow mac. Place in a 9x13 casserole dish. Cut up about 4 slices of bread (any kind) into about 1 inch peices. Put bread into the mac and add a package of colby/jack shredded cheese, mix together. Fill dish about half way up with milk, cover and cook at 425 F for 45 minutes. Your kids will eat this up I guarantee! And there is also enough left overs for lunch. You can also add in veggies.

hey megan! this is the first recipe i have ever come across that adds bread into mac&cheese!! i absolutely want to try it (i have four kiddos) and they all love mac&cheese. do you happen to know, what the purpose of the bread is? does it help thicken? also, how many cups of cheese? thanks
