Milk and Egg Allergy

Does anyone have a recipe for a cake that would not require the use of milk or eggs? If not, any suggestions on what to do for my daughters birthday? She is allergic to both milk and eggs. Last year she didn't eat any of her cake because she wasn't feeling well and right after is when we found out she was allergic so she has not had any cake.

Hi you could try using dairy free margarine and soya milk.

Ive found this uk recipe...

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Makes 1 x 20cm/8 inch cake

Vegan, Dairy free, Eggless Cakes Ingredients

300g/12oz Self Raising Flour

300g/12oz Brown Sugar

50g/2oz Cocoa Powder (check ingredients label)

1/2 teasp. Salt

480ml/16fl.oz. Water

60ml/2fl.oz. Vegetable Oil

2 tbsp Vinegar

2 teasp. Vanilla Extract

1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4.

2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients . Make a well in the centre then add the remaining "wet" ingredients. Mix well then beat with a wooden spoon until smooth.

3. Transfer the mixture to a 20cm/8 inch cake tin and bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Or you could try something different like making an icecream cake with different layers of flavours and lots of fruit, melted chocolate, marshmallows and other toppings for it too.
