Mystery Meat-slow cooker

My 10yr old and 6yr old are at odds with much of day to day living, but when mom makes mystery meat they are both happy. It is a slow cooker recipe which is even better!

1lb cubed stew meat (thawd or frozen, doesn't matter)

1/2 green bell pepper cut how you like

1/2 red bell pepper cut how you like

1/2 yellow onion cut how you like

2 celery stalks cut how you like

1/2 zuchnni cut how you like / or pureed to sneak in an extra veggie :)

1 beef bouillon cube

1 tbs garlic powder

1 tspn tabasco

1 tbs Onion Salt

1 can diced tomatoes

1 cup boiling water

black pepper & sea salt to taste

1 package instant white rice

step 1:

boil 1 cup water & drop bouillon cube in, set aside

step 2:

place meat into crock pot / slow cooker

step 3:

add all vegetables to slow cooker

step 4:

sprinkle garlic powder, tabasco, onion salt, black pepper, & sea salt evenly over meat and veggies

step 5:

pour water with dissolved bouillon cube over meat and veggies

step 6:

pour can of diced tomatoes over meat and veggies

step 7:

put lid on and walk away

If meat is frozen I let it cook for 8hrs on high

if meat is thawed I let it cook for 4hrs on high or 8hrs on low

When you are ready to serve cook rice as indicated on box. Place rice on center of plate and put mystery meat on top of rice. It comes out tasting similar to Swiss Steak. You can also add a sprinkle of meat tenderizer to make the meat fall apart with the fork.

Hope you enjoy. This is one recipe you can add or delete any of your family's favorite/non favorite veggies and it will work out. I have occasionally added potatoes and not cooked the rice and it was like a home-made stew. Possibilities are endless.
