Pasta Alfredo

1 pound bowtie pasta

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons flour

2 cups half and half

1 cup parm cheese

salt & pepper to taste

optional items: crab meat/ can of tuna/peas/chicken

Start boiling the water first in one pan for pasta

In second pan melt butter on med low heat

when melted add flour- mix using a whisk for the whole process

when the flour looks like a sandy texture start adding half and half slowly (don't let the flour burn)

stir often..add parm cheese keep stirring

add pasta to boiling water

add salt and pepper to taste..add optional items (If using chicken cook in advance)

put on low heat until the pasta is finished cooking

drain pasta and mix with alfredo...this only takes 15 minutes and it's yummy

Im new to this and just noticed that this is a fitness, food and diet catagory... this is not a diet dish...but you can use low fat ingredients. It's quick and yummy though.
