Punch Bowl Cake

PUNCH BOWL CAKE

________________________________________

1 box yellow cake mix

(Bake cake as directed on box in 9 x 13 inch pan. Let cool.)

2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling

2 (8 oz.) cans crushed pineapple, drained

1 (16 oz.) Cool Whip

2 small boxes vanilla instant pudding mix

1 c. chopped pecans (Optional)

Lg. punch bowl.

4 cups of Milk … for the pudding mix



Bake cake according to directions on the box. LET COOL

(OR you can buy a cake that’s already baked)



Mix instant pudding according to directions on the box.





FIRST LAYER:



1. Crumble 1/2 the cake into medium chunks, place in bottom of punch bowl.



2. Place crushed pineapple all over the cake



3. Smooth over pudding.



4. Smooth over ½ the Cool Whip



5. Sprinkle on 1/2 of the pecans. (Optional)



SECOND LAYER:

Repeat each step

I have had to make this recipe so many times that I am more than happy to share it with the world!  Now maybe I can take a break!  I once put it in a contest and won First PriZe!!!
