Strawberry Sorbet

[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

My daughter loves to make this dessert! And I don't feel guilty about it because it's mostly fruit.

1 pound bag of frozen, unsweetened strawberries (you can use any frozen fruit)

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Place the strawberries and sugar in a blender or food processor, then pulse to mix.

Combine the milk and lemon juice in a separate bowl. Add the mixture to the strawberries.

Blend for several seconds until smooth (I find that it helps to scrape the sides with a plastic spatula)

It's ready to serve immediately. You can top it with whipped cream for a special treat. Store any leftovers in a plastic container in the freezer.

It's fine with me, but I have to give credit to National Geographic Kids magazine. That's where my daughter found the recipe. I did make a change and I use regular milk instead of the buttermilk that they originally called for.
