My Daughter was born with a coarctation of the aorta and a bicuspid aortic valve. she had open heart surgery to correct the coarctation. over the years the only symptoms our cardiologist told us to look out for was easily fatigued, dizziness or fainting. When she was 11 she began to sweat for no reason and had severe nose bleeds. When she went for her check up I asked the dr about these new symptoms and he said they were not related to her heart. but during the exam he saw that her aorta was closing up again at the site of her surgery. He recommended angioplasty, which we went ahead with. Her narrowing was twice as bad as the dr had estimated. Since having the balloon procedure her nose bleeds are completely gone. She still gets over heated easily but she doesn't get a cold clammy sweat like before. Anyone else experience these symptoms with CoA?

My daughter just got the repair for her COA at nine years old. I hope she doesn't have ReCoarctation at some point.
Glad to hear angioplasty worked.
