Blood in stool

So my son (29 months old) has blood in his stool and they believe it is another food allergy. He already has issues with milk and soy and he hasn't had any in weeks so they don't think it is from that at all (we did a trial and introduced it back in and took him right back off cuz it caused issues). So they want us to go back to an allergist cuz we have been before but they found nothing at the time and we really didn't like how everything went the last time he went to an allergist so we are gonna go to a different one. He is also on Neocate Jr. to replace the milk and make sure he gets all his nutrients. They are also testing him for parasites just in case but they believe it is a food allergy again. They are just doing this to rule it out.

Has your child had blood in their stool before? If yes, why (if you know why)? What tests shold I ask to be done this time? Any help is appreciated!

How much blood is in his stool and how many bms a day is he having? A Pediatric GI specialist could rule out something more severe like Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns disease. I was told afte babies are a year old, food allergies cause upper respiratory symptoms, not GI symptoms. My son was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis just before he turned 3 yrs old and tested negative to all food allergies. He had had lots of food allergies an an infant, too.

Has he recently been on an antibiotic? My son's issues started after a round of antibiotics.
