Hello!
So, i have been trying to use up my several random balls of leftover yarn from past projects. Was curious if anyone has any projects that could use it up.
Thanks.

I made a patchwork purse from some leftovers that turned out really cool. I used different stitches and made the patches different sized. It was a fun project (even though I had to sew a liner for it and I don't like to sew...) and I ended up giving it to my 12 year old neice. She just loves it because it goes with everything!

There are many one-skein partial skeins around the net. I use partial skeins to make striped hats, striped scarves, or I will get coordinating colors and big needles with one kind of sparkly fun yarn added to the plainer yarn and whip up a striped scarf! I also make a lot of washcloths, so I will make some 'rag' washcloths using up the little bits of skeins left over..l keep them for myself because I love to use them and it doesn't hurt so much when they have to get thrown away because they look so godawful anyways! lol

I just saw that this post was added months ago, but just in case you run across this, I read in a book where you could use leftover yarn for knitting hanger covers. It was pretty cool. You basically just do garter stich until you get a really long piece, fit it over the hanger, and sew the ends together.

I have started a blanket with my leftover worsted weight yarn. I got one of books of different knitted patterns from Christmas last year and it is a great way to try them out. I have also done striped hats and mitts as well.

Mittens with different colors of fingers are cute. And each finger doesn't take much yarn

A friend of mine did this shawl with her leftover yarn. It was really cool. She used different types of yarn and did a couple of rows of each yarn. Or if you dont have that much you could make a scarf that would be really cute! Hope that helps!
