11 types of moms on the playground, which one are you?

1. Fancy Mom

She's in high heels, her makeup looks perfect, and you really want to know where she bought her clothes. You envy the fact she can run after her kids in a dress and still manage to look like a gazillion bucks.

2. Pajama Mom

She's comfy, cozy, and maybe doesn't match, but she doesn't care. She gives you ideas on what sweats would look best with what t-shirt.

3. Always Coffee In Hand Mom

She's the envy of every tired parent at the playground because she always has her cup of Joe. But it does make some wonder ... is it really coffee?

4. Cell Phone Mom

This mama cannot deconnect from her phone -- talking or texting or scrolling. Maybe it's for work, maybe it's some social network, maybe she's reading the mobile version of a magazine, but she's on the phone so much you start to believe she does have eyes on the back of her head.

5. Photo Taking Mom

This mom must have full photo albums for each day because she's snapping a picture from every angle, for every step her little one takes.

6. "Ack! Where Are My Kids?!" Mom

Let's just say this mom isn't paying a lot of attention to her kids.

7. Hovering Mom

And let's just say this mom is the definition of a helicopter parent, not letting her child take one step without being rightherenexttoher.

8. Peter Pan Mom

Fun, free-spirited mom isn't afraid to slide down the slide, get sand in her toes while building sand castles, and really get into playing at the park.

9. Loner Mom

This type makes no eye contact, and never smiles at the other parents. It's clear she doesn't want to be involved with even the smallest of talk.

10. Super Friendly Mom

Quick to smile and say hello, Super Friendly Mom remembers how old your kids are and even their names. She's the mom who will text you asking for playdates.

11. Entourage Mom

This mom rolls with at least two other moms wherever she goes. It's hard to tell whose kid belongs to who in this group but they're tight and are like the cool kids in the lunchroom.

I think I've been every one of these moms at one time or another. Even Loner Mom ... on those super cranky days.

Which type(s) of mom do you think you are? What other types of moms have you run into at the playground?

Probably loner mom and Peter Pan mom lol.

When my kids were playground age I was
Always Coffee, Super Friendly, Where's my kids, mom.

Usually got so engrossed in the conversation that I lost track of the kids, but then it was like 6 kids at the playground, 4 being mine and 1 each for the other 2 moms.

#3: Coffee in hand mom! Taught my kids how to grind coffee beans around 9 mo. of age. Our 10 year old actually made the coffee this morning and brought it to his dad for Father's day this morning :)

I'd have to say "enterouge mom" only because the only times I've been to the park with my son has been with other parents and kids that we know.

3- but it's tea
6-yeah, but never misplaced one PERMANENTLY. I get lost in books.
8-some books are more compelling than others.
I guess I'm between loner and friendly. I say hello first or smile, but I leave it up to them to take it any further. minna

Fancy Mom and Super Friendly Mom

I do wear make up, dresses and high heels to playground, sometimes I will wear daisy dukes and a nice top. I am super friendly and cheerful, I have made friends with other moms & dads at the playground and we arrange playdates with our kids as well. I have run into other moms who don't like me or keep themselves.

Peter Pan/Photo mom.

I was really bad with photo taking before she turned 2. I felt I had to document every adorable moment because there are NO pictures of me from when I was a child, so I tend to overdo it. I really do have albums! Lots and lots of pictures!

Also, I am totally the sandbox castle making mom. I make em and she smashes em. It's teamwork.

I go between the Peter pan mom and the photo taking mom. Although most of the pictures I take, are done with my phone.

Pajama mom, which kinda defaults me into loner mom......well, and the fact I usually have a big dog with me.......... I use to be more Peter Pan mom, but my kids are now older and it embarasses them! LOL I can also be cell phone mom, I read Time and the local news on my phone!

peter pan mum, i go down the slide as much as the kids. plus the photo taking mum and entourage mum i barely go unless it's with other mums and their kids.

I could relate to all but most of all I'm the Cell Phone Mom, Photo Taking Mom and Fancy Mom. When I see my son playing with other kids and refuse to play with me I jst sit on the bench and talk on the phone or even text. I always carry my cam with me everywhere I go. I believe you should cherish every moment and every time I snap a pic I will remember like yesterday. Also Fancy Mom fits in with me. I like dressing up and putting make up on.

I don't fit with any of them, but if I had to pick one: Loner Mom. I do smile at people though. :)

Always coffee in hand mom. I'm also friendly, but not SUPER friendly. I know most of the moms in my neighborhood or at least a good chunk of those at the playground. I don't really have to text people for playdates though (that's kind of funny actually), I just take my daughter to the playground and there is always lots of kids running around our co-op for her to play with. I guess we're more "old school" around here.

I am always coffee in hand mom, and cell phone mom....but by being that way I think I default into loner mom.
