What did your wedding dress look like?

Were you happy with it?

Mine was simple. Sleeveless with rhinestones up the front, satin and a bustle. No long train for me!

Mine was an ivory, strapless, mermaid cut evening gown. I didn't go in for the big overly wedding-like dresses, so this evening gown worked great and I can still wear it. It is made of silk with a silk gauze overlay, hand beaded with tiny pearls (which does make it rather heavy, I had to have straps added), and I had antique laze hemmed to the bottom. It is fitted down to my knees, then flairs out a little, so it makes me look like I have hips and a nice bust.

I'll see if I can find a pic and change my profile for a day or so...

ETA: I switched it, but it's not showing on my monitor...I was SO pale!! And my hair is still growing out from chemo. I had extensions sewn in...

off cream white off the shoulder with plunge v at the front. The hem was shaped with v up the front to the mid thigh with two layers of fine lace over the top. ubderneath only wore suspenders nude stockings and sheer panties. They all covered the old new borrowed and blue lol tho being picked up think every one at the church got flash on everthing lol

Ivory, strapless, a-line job with tiny flowers on bodice and down front of skirt. See profile pic. I was going to wear a plain white dress with chiffon detail at the bust but I'd slapped on some weight after #2 and I didn't like how it sat on my hips, my best friend wore it for her hen do instead. I still go through phases when I look at photos, sometimes I really hate my dress, sometimes I love it.

Fitted bodice, lace sleeves, off the shoulder (cuff style), full skirt. I loved it and still do. AND it wasn't very expensive :-)

I loved it at the time but the photos afterwards don't do it justice, because nobody told me (sack the bridesmaids!!!) that the corset needed relacing during the evening dancing. As a result, more than half of the photos show an unsightly gap bulging halfway down my back. Every time I look at those photos, I cringe and wish I could reach back in time to pull the lacing in properly. Augh.

Corseted ivory silk dupion with hand embroidered celtic knotwork edged in gold and silver, both on the bodice and on the back panels. Silk dupion skirt overlaid with floaty chiffon, floating chiffon hanging sleeves. Corset was laced with gold ribbon and the sleeves had miniature crystals hanging from gold ribbons at the shoulder.

There's a picture here (not of me, heh): http://www.lindsayfleming.com/orlaith/or...

I had a matching 'elvish' headpiece and necklace made for me in silver, crystal and moonstone by a dear friend who happened to be training as a goldsmith and silversmith at the time. :) Actually you can see that bit in my profile picture at the moment.

It was strapless, pearl satin, with some lace and beading and a cathedral train
