My 15 month old daughter was just recently diagnosed with Long Qt syndrome type 3 and i was only given 2 options. The first option is to put her back on a medicine that she had an severe allergic reaction to last year with her SVT's and the other option is to put an ICD in but they say she's to young and to small to do it. Her cardiologist say if her number's dont start going down she won't make it to see christmas this year and im so scared to death of losing my only child and im a single parent to top it. Hoping somebody has some advice on how to deal with this hard time and struggles to keep my baby girl alive.

Hello Samantha,
My son is 13 months old and is right after his birth diagnosed with LQTS-3. When he was 7 weeks old he had a left side denervation en when he was almost 3 months old he got an ICD. I think he was one of the worlds youngest ICD-patients but the operation was without any complications. My son developes as a complete normal en healty baby.
Take care en I wish all the best for you and your daughter!

Samantha, I am the aunt of identical 15 mo. old twins boys who have LQTS type 3 and they just had a left side denervation and implanted ICD's at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. You need to contact Dr. Michael Ackerman at the Mayo Clinic, as he is a world renowned doctor who specializes in LTQ sydrome. http://www.mayoclinic.org/bio/10494715.h...
