I have an almost 3 year old boy who will not potty train. I have tried to bribe, give treats, encourage and praise yet he chooses to not train. He could care less if he is in a diaper and has a BM or wets. I am at a loss in training him.. He is the youngest and so far the hardest to train. Any body have any suggestions?

I am currently training my almost 3 year old. I find if I put underwear on he had accidents, if I keep his butt bare he makes it every time. My plan is to get him very used to going on the toilet/potty, feeling that desire to go and then get there in time. Once that is down pat and used to peeing in the potty, not a diaper, then reintroduce the underwear. I did not find him picking out his own potty or underwear or any of the treats worked for my son, maybe the first or 2nd time but not over days. I do get very excited and happy for him when he has a success so when he does go, he is very very proud to show me, it's cute.

My daughter has her own little potty, and i let her empty it out in the big toilet after shes done, and let her flush it. She also wore the cool feel pull ups, it thurns cold as soon as any liquid hits it, they worked so well!

Good Idea! I did buy his favorite Spongebob underwear and I am waiting for the padded underwear I bought online to come in the mail. I hope that works. He seemed really interested in the potty when he saw Spongebob.

Have you tried taking him to the store to pick out his new "big boy pants"? Worked for me!
