How to shampoo my 14-mon-old's hair?

Hi There, I always wash my daughter's hair before putting her into the tub. I have her lie back so that she is looking up at the ceiling. But she is getting heavier and heavier and I don't have energy to hold her that way anymore. My daughter has thick hair and sweat a lot, so I want to keep her hair clean. She hates getting her face wet. Any advice on how to shampoo my daughters hair without wetting the front of her face?
Thanks.

Don't mean to overstep...just wanted to let you know that my son Will hated water in the face too but we kept splashing and squirting him (gently) in the face, etc. He now pours the cup over his own head and laughs and wipes the water out of his eyes. No muss no fuss!

Thanks for the ideas. I will try to look for the bucket or the visor from stores. At the mean time, I will try to have her laid back in my hand to rinse the shampoo out.

Not only are there the buckets but I've seen a visor-type-of-thing that you put around her hair line so no water will get in her eyes. With my daughter, while she is in the tub, I put my hand behind her head and have her lay back in to it to rinse the shampoo out.

Quoting Sarah:

Have you tried getting one of those cups that has the silicone on the front that you push that against thier forhead and tilt the cub back so all the water runs down the back of them? I have seen them and I know a couple of people that use them and they love them. I personally don't use them, but that is just because my son doesn't care if water is in his face. He loves putting water in face. It is just a suggestion. :)

we have one of those buckets and they work great!!! we got it at babies r us for like 5 bucks I think...no more water in the eyes  :)
