Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good humidifier? I have one from BabiesRUs (the Crane Adorable Penguin one) but I've been told that it's not good cuz there's no filter in it. I picked up a Vick's cool mist one from Wal-mart, but it was so loud, I returned it.
Looking for one that has a filter AND quiet.
Thanks!!

we have a sunbeam humidifer that I bought at Walgreens several months ago. We use distilled water so we don't have to clean it as often. It is very quiet & seems to do the job well.

Maybe this weekend you could find a good sale - Happy shopping :)
Chelsea, not too sure if this would work for your model, but I just use salt and lemon juice...just pour on salt then wait a few minutes....pour on lemon juice and let that just sit for about fifteen minutes and then just rinse with water....perhaps though you have harder water than I do though...maybe your municipality would have info on the best way to remove it.

I hate humidifiers! Not the fact they help me and my Son breath better I HATE cleaning them! Is there no Godly substance that will ever remove that GROSS hard water slime stuff entirely???
I have a Honeywell one and it is so quiet I'm not sure if it's on 1/2 the time and hold my hand over the vent to make sure it's working.

We have two by sunbeam...one I could find the name and model number online (Sunbeam® Cool Mist Humidifier with PermaFilter™ Technology - Model: 001120-000-000). In my opinion it is fairly quiet, but I know you may be more sensitive. I found this one really easy to fill and clean. Not too sure how old your little one is, but we were always told to get a cool mist humidifier with little ones around. Hope you find the best one for you and your family :)
