Does anyone have any tips on getting your child to take to a sippy cup? I've tried 3 different ones now and he doesn't like any of them.

My daughter likes the NUK transition cup too. I've had a really hard time getting her to take to a sippy cup too, but she'll now drink at least one cup a day (which is an accomplishment for her. Before this cup she'd only take an ounce or too. She's a bit picky!!) Good luck ... Hope it works for you!

Natalie will only drink a bit at a time from the take and toss cups. We found that she loves the NUK transition cup. She drinks a 6ozs at once and no messes. They are of the rack with the bottles at our target.

The NUK?  I haven't heard of that one.  I need to return one of the Nuby cups because Trey likes to stick his fingers into the spout and since it is soft it opens up and spills all over the place.  I'm going to return the Nuby to Babies R Us and see if I can get the NUK transition cup there.  Thanks!!!

I have never heard of that brand, but found them online.  He loves to play with his as well and they all spill so far...I will try anything so I think I'll order a MagMag.  Thanks!  He likes the Nuby with the soft spout pretty well, but it spilled out all over his tray...don't know how they manage that! :)

Pigeon Magmag sippy cup with soft spout worked for me and my little girl.  I found that it was the ONLY one that didn't spray milk or juice all over the place if she shook the bottle (which she's passionate about). She also didn't like the hard spouts of the other sippy cups, but it took a week or two go get her used to the spout rather than the teat.

Hi girls!  Thanks for the tips!  I bought the Nuby with no valve and soft spout last night and he took to it instantly.  I guess because how well it squishes, it was very easy for him to use.  He actually LOVES it and was very upset when we took it from him last night.  I believe this one is better for their growing pallet and teeth, so I think I'll stick with it for now anyway. :)  I will also use the Take N Toss cups at home.  I think I have seen the Munchkin cup as well, might try that out.  Again, THANKS! :]

If he likes the Take N Toss cups, he may like the one I got for my son. I spent all kinds of money on a bunch of more expensive cups, and ended up trying the 99 cent blue and green Munchkin cup (from Target). We did have to make the hole on the rubber stopper insert slightly bigger, but he loves it now and it was by far the least expensive we've tried.

Hiya! If you go for Nuby, don't get the sippy cup with a soft kind of teat, which looks like an oversized bottle teat as that leaks and is very difficult for kids to drink from--- they end up with water everywhere!
I also found the drink bottle with a straw was good, but i see you've tried that.....
the take n toss are good i use them too, perhaps you will have to bear with them for a little while longer....

Yes, I just bought my just turned 1 yr old that same cup and no go.  Hasn't figured out the suck it up the straw part yet.  He will drink from the Take n Toss cups but I don't like that I can't take that with me without making a huge mess eventually.  Might try the Nuby or the Gerber which other moms have mentioned in other blogs.  Thanks for your advice!

My 11 1/2 month old son is the same way.  I just recently bought a "sippy cup" that has an attached straw and he loves them.  He doesn't have to tip them back himself to get a drink which seems to have made a huge difference.  I bought the cups at Walmart for around $3.00 a piece. I believe they are made by Munchkin.
