My 10 month old is refusing formula......he will still eat baby food and some table foods (finely chopped up) and will drink juice (either plain or with pedialyte) and water. Every time we try the bottle he slaps it away......

Ok, well we had to change formulas and we are flavoring it a bit with vanilla.....we switched from Enfamil to Gerber Goodstart....took him a week but he is back eating his normal amount now :) I am a much happier mommy now that he is eating again :)

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies!!!! :)

My daughter was having some problems with that, I added a couple drops of art. vanilla extract to her bottle just to give it a different flavour, she eventually went back to taking it without a problem. I hope you find something that works for you & your LO :)

@ AMY - up until this past Wednesday night he has been drinking juice and formula.........I don't know what has happened............it is ONLY the FORMULA bottles he is refusing. He will still take juice and water and eat food but refuses formula (no matter how we mix it, either with water or part milk).......I just don't know----guess I'm going to have to call his pediatrician (again).

Oh and mix 1-2 ounces of formula to his meals. I add at least an ounce to every one of my sons meals.

What was he drinking leading up to the refusal of formula? What is he drinking the juice out of if he's knocking bottles away and won't drink from a sippy cup? Could he be teething, that could cause discomfort when sucking.

He is not interested in using a sippy cup.......he is not interested in any kind of milk at all......not even if we are mixing his formula 1/2 water 1/2 milk......we even tried plain whole milk (just to see what would happen) and he doesn't want anything to do with it...........so now what do I try? :(

Does he drink the juice and water from a tippy cup? Maybe you could try formula in a tippy cup.
