What are your babies doing these days? My son will be 10 months old on Sat. and I'm wondering if he's on target. He is scooting on his belly but not crawling. He can sit for a long time but when he falls back he doesn't catch himself. He also cannot get himself into a sitting position. He can pull to standing if I put him in a tall kneeling position. Just wondering what most babies his age were up to.

Our little girl who will be 10 months on the 12th just started to crawl, she has been sitting up for a month now and right before she started to crawl she was able to get herself into a sitting position. All babies do things at different ages though. Our first born (boy) was 6 months when he started to crawl. I have been worried about our daughter because she is very small she just now weighs a little over 15lbs, but I just keep telling myself that she is going to be different than her brother so I should stop worrying.

My daughter just turned 10 mo. on the 21st. She crawls everywhere, dances to music, stands on her own for a few minutes and walks while holding on to stuff. Shes working on getting her second tooth. I know a friend of mine who had her son around the same time and he is further developed than my daughter. I have another friend whos daughter is a month older than mine and she doesnt crawl that much and is in the same position as you.

My son is 10 months, 3 days old and he was walking and "falling" for sometime now. It seemed like he turned 10 months (the7th) and the very next day he was running, literally. I can't get him to stop running around the house. He still crawls but only if he is playing "catch me". He goes up the stairs all the time by himself (thanks to Daddy), so now I have three gates up in the house (all stairs are blocked, up and down). He has six teeth, he claps, gives high fives, says Dada, Daddy, Mom, Momma, Ma, GraDay (GrandDaddy), Na (Nana), he's eatting 2nd, 3rd, and table food, drinks from a cup, and feeds himself finger foods, hates the word "No", knows all of his names (I think everyone calls him something different, LOL), and he's ready to really talk just waiting for the flood gate to open.
All babys are different. There's nothing to worry about. Once things start happening, they all start happening fast and you get to feeling like if you go to the potty you'll miss something, and probably will, LOL. Just be patient and keep working with your LO, it will come when GOD see fit.

My baby will be 10 months on the 17th and she is doing the same things as your baby. She says mama and claps and says "more" when eating with a hand gesture. She is trying to hard to crawl and manages to get a few steps but then falls and she pulls to stand but still working on that. All babies develop at their own pace. If anyone says your baby is behind then they are wrong.

Little late to post here but he will be one year March 10th, 2013. He got his first teeth by 5 months and started walking 9months and 4days. At ten months he mastered walking, understanding levers (lightswitch), he is talking but still baby talk between mama and dada. Very funny personality and will play chase with his dad. He's chewing with his teeth, which he has 4 top front and 4 front bottom. He grinds them a bit but that it to be expected. He is using sippy cups as well

my son is 9 months old, at 7 months he could pull himself to a standing position on his own and is crawling off the ground since 8 months. he can reposition himself from crawling to a sitting up position and back to crawling very easily. he is not talking yet though. he loves to cruise (standing, holding on to something and walking). he loves to dance and is working on his 5th tooth. he can wave bye-bye, clap on command (since july 4th) and high five.

I also have my neice living with me, she just turned 10 months. she cannot crawl, but loves to cruise. she can stand and sit but frequently falls backwards. she cannot turn over. but she can say a few words here and there. she tries to dance too, she has 2 teeth

Our son has been crawling since just before 9 months, pulling himself up for about the last 4 weeks, and he can go from sitting to belly to crawling and everything else just about except walking on his own. But if we take his hands, he will cruise walking!

Olivia is crawling. She stands up by holding on to stuff. She walks with support... mostly she'll drag her high chair around. She is learning to balance herself standing. Olivia will let me feed her for a little bit and then I have to put the food down so she can grab the food on her own. Holds her own bottle since she was 6 months. She says a few words too, like "teta" (which is was Ecuadorians call a bottle... not the boob! LOL), "mami" & "papi". My first born walked at 9 months, so I think the little one wants to be like her big sister. :-)

Kelsey was sitting up good and tall, drining from a cup all on her own at about 5 1/2 months. She is feeding herself at the table very well right now. She does not care much to be fed, but enjoys the independance of feeding herself. She does still drink her formula at least 4-5 times a day. Naps beautifully and loves to play with her toys. She started to crawl at 9 months and has been standing up and walking while holding onto things like her toy tables, or push toy. She seems to have great control of her legs. She has not yet walked on her own, but has just started standing up and letting go and just standing in place. She has masterred lowering herself down to the ground as opposed to falling down on her tush.

My son was 10 months on the 3rd, he's been crawling non-stop for about 2-3 weeks now. He pulls up to a kneeling position and then up to full on standing, but doesn't get the concept of how to get down or cruising. He's got 9 teeth, can say mama, dada, baba, and wave. And he's almost got the clap down lol.

Lachlan will be 10 months on Sunday.

He started crawling on Monday - before that he was just rolling everywhere.
He is sitting and not falling very often now, which is good. He goes from sitting to laying down, to sitting again. He can sit himself up from being on his back, which can be a pain in the butt when he is meant to be napping because he doesn't know how to lay back down again right away.
He doesn't put much weight on his feet, so won't stand solidly and is not pulling up on things or cruising yet.
He claps his hands, and shakes his head (though the shaking of the head is just a movement, I think)
He has got 8 teeth.
He babbles all the usual noises (mama, dada, bubba, nana) but doesn't say any actual words - except he does say "nyum nyum" which I say to him at meal times, so he has picked that up.

I'm very glad he started crawling this week, I was beginning to wonder if he ever would.

My little guy is 10.5 months, and he does more than he should, but here are my thoughts.
I wouldn't think too much about the not crawling. I have a 5 yr old that didn't crawl until he was about 9 moths old, and he didn't do it for very long. He could, just wouldn't. The falling back and not catching himself though, would worry me. Although, it may just amuse him. My LO likes to hit his head against stuff. If he bumps it, he stalls for a minute, and then does it a couple more times. He thinks it is funny.
Just keep an eye on him, and if he isn't where you think he should be, ask his dr. He may just be stubborn. ;)

My son Mikah will be 10months on the 27th

He took his first steps at 9months and 3days…he can sit up from a lying position, he says a bunch of incoherent things….but mama and dada are what we can understand….I don’t think he truly associates the words with us (MOM and DAD)
He knows the sign words for water, Juice, Eat, and Stop
He will give you a kiss if you ask (and he feels like it)
He will give you a high five if you ask (and he feels like it)

My baby girl turned 10 months on the 11th, she's been crawling since 7 months, Right now she walks holding onto your hands, walks around furniture and will let go and stand by herself for 30 seconds and then fall. Waves and says bye, bye. Has said big words like breakfast, Mason and Billee which is her name. Says baby when she sees a baby or her little dolly, says dog when she sees or hears a dog, of course says mama, dad, daddy, she does the sign for milk. She's learning to share cuz she'll have a little brother or sister in July! I love my little girl to pieces!!

My baby is 10 months +10 days and also not crawling or pulling up. She doesn't seem to like to weight-bear on her knees, though I am trying to get her used to it. She is content to sit and is showing no interest on being mobile- not even scooting on her belly. I know this is still in the range of normal development. Some babies never crawl! Still, I find it a bit frustrating and worrying that her physical development seems a little late and slow!

Braden will be 10 months in 2 weeks and has been crawling for about 3 months. He walks with his push toys and can manuever his way around the furniture quickly by holding on. He can stand unassisted for about 15 seconds (if he wants to!). He seems to be more active than the other babies his age at daycare. However, despite being active, he is "behind" many of the other babies with eating. Until this week, he was primarily eating Stage 2 baby foods (twice a day), eating 40oz of formula (some with cereal mixed in) and snacking on Gerber puffs. We started him on 3 meals of 3rd foods, but he gags on most of the chunky foods and has barely had any table food. We just tried Cheerios and bananas today, so we are trying to get him up to speed :) He has 5 teeth, bounces (dances) to music, reaches for things he wants, giggles like crazy when he finds things funny, but is not clapping or speaking at all.

They can sit up, crawl like crazy, pull themselves up on everything, starting to "cruise", use their walk behinds with ease, and one can stand by herself without holding onto anything. They dance, wave, and clap. They say a few select words but mostly babble. They're using sippy cups to drink and are on 95% table food. One has 6 teeth, the other 7.

She's walking like a champ, climbing on whatever she can pull herself up on, talking back (repeating words like stop -her favorite), she has 4 teeth, and she likes to mock people, so if you point at her she will point right back at ya. All babies develop in their own time, so your lil angel will probably hop up and take off one day and surprise you!

My daughter was 10 months yesterday and is such a go-getter!! Ariya started to crawl just after Thanksgiving and literally, hasn't stopped. She pulls herself up to standing in her crib, is close to standing all on her own and is very good at pulling up on the couch or a tall toy. She has 8 teeth already so she's eating more foods each day. She is getting used to taking wobbly steps behind her walker toy dinosaur. This has been so much fun! I love watching for her "ah-ha!" moments as she learns to manipulate her environment (and her parents!).

He babbles ALOT and has for months, says dada, mama (only when hes really mad or upset) and tries really hard to say kitty. He's been eating baby food since 4 months and eats what we eat at all meals - LOVES NOODLES! All four front teeth came in on Monday :(
He's already using the potty a bit - in the morning if you set him on it he will go pee and after nap times, and before shower time and bath time!
He refuses to clap or wave though!

My little guy is 10 1/2 months and I was in the same boat...he was happy just sitting up when I placed him there and would only scoot around on his belly going backwards, didn't pull himself up to standing position and has no teeth but would take a sippy cuy with water and juice and was beginning to eat all the same foods as me and the hubby. I too was worried about if he was on target with his development. I went online and read that to help him crawl I could keep him with no pants and socks on (obviously in a warm room) to help with his grip and to put something in front of him just out of his reach that he really likes but isn't usually allowed to play with (i.e. telephone, remote control, etc.) Last week he start to push himself up on his knees backwards all the way to a sitting position, pull himself up to a kneeling position on his table toys, and then just today he started crawling forward. But when I told my doctor that he wasn't crawling forward she said they actually have removed that milestone from their charts because a lot of babies don't ever crawl before walking.

He is also walking along the couch holding onto it as he goes. He also has 7 teeth. That's right all babies develop at different stages as I have noticed. He hated tummy time in the beginning and was quite late learning how to roll over. Once he did this everything else just seemed to flow..

My daughter turned 10 Months on 1-3. She is walking short distances between furniture and cruses like a pro. she has been a furniture walker since 7/8 months or so. at the end of her ninth month was christmasa and we had got her one of those baby push toys that convert to a ride toy. and she loves it and will walk with that EVERYWHERE.
She eats table food now that she has 8-10 teeth.
She can turn pages in her board books, shake her head yes and no, clap, make Indian noises by patting her mouth, blow kisses, babbles non stop, ( no real talking yet other then momma), opens and closes doors and cabinets, Plays with the spring door stop, pushes buttons, and dumps her small family toy bin after pulling it out. For a legally blind child i was told she acts much older then what she is and gets around well by her early intervention services. im just wondering if its because i play with her and she gets certain help thats why she is able to be ahead of the game in areas.

I was worried because I have read on here that so many 9-10 month olds are walking, butI think all babies develop at their own pace. Every child develops at a different rate. Dont be worried if they are not hitting "milestones" at a certain age. I worked in a infant classroom and babies just really develop at their own pace, everychilds diff.
