My son is 42 months, he spells, write and read some words. How young/old do you think a baby should be to be doing this. He do go to pre-school and no i don't have My Baby Can Read. But I wish I did. How old was your baby when they started to read, spell and write?

Its great... My daughter is like 44 months.. n she writes her name and can join some alphabets to form 3 letter words on the leap forg toy .. I think the leap frog toy (http://shop.leapfrog.com/leapfrog/jump/F...) Is a less expensive way where you can help the child to learn how to make words starting with cat, bat, mat, hat etc..

I was wondering the same thing. My daughter is the same age and reading a lot of words, spelling, and always trying to write her name and mine. Her writing is not totally legible, but I am amazed by her! Is it normal??

I think that is great!! I hear walmart has the My Baby Can Read for $70. Thats a lot cheaper than they wanted on the tv.

Well, mine is 3 and not doing those things. But, if he is with older kids, it is not bad. Encourage him to understand what he is doing so it is more than just memorization. Encourage, encourage. (I know I was 3 when I knew my abc's and could write my name and other things...because I had a big sister that I wanted to be just like.)
